@Nrdsb4 - I’m still able to find things in my closet that fit. I have a couple of pairs of pants I really like that I bought when I gained some weight that are now looking baggy in the butt and need a belt. I’m going to be sad to retire them but also happy at the same time. When I went shopping last week with my D I bought one pair of jeans in a smaller size and exercise capris otherwise I felt I didn’t want to spend money on clothes that I hope won’t fit in a few months.
My friend has taken to buying pants at Costco. She likes the Gloria Vanderbilt pants and they can be had at times for under $20. She prefers that to searching through the racks at Ross or the thrift stores.
Down just 0.2 this week, so apparently the meds have slowed my hyperthyroid (that’s a good thing) and my metabolism (not so happy about that). At least I can resume my workouts soon. How’s the rest of the gang?
@yauponredux - Im happy you checked in. Have you missed your exercise routine?
I am steady this week at 155. I find I reach a weight and seem to stay at it for a couple of weeks. This is week two at 155 so I hope if I keep up my eating and exercise I’ll slowly inch down.
I had a terrible day yesterday. I had a late lunch date and while I ate a moderate portion it somehow triggered me to crave sugar after. I gobbled down 4 See’s chocolates that I found in the back of my cupboard. I think the box had been in that cupboard for months. It was so weird and I think I just need to not let myself get so hungry. Or it was something in the lunch that set me on that path. Today I go wedding dress shopping with my future DIL so we will have both lunch and dinner out as we are headed to a larger city for the day. I’m really going to go with the goal of making good choices.
I am ready to put a couple of pairs of jeans in the thrift store pile. When my H starts commenting on how baggy they are in the butt it’s time to stop wearing them.
Still doing Nia dance, a strength class, exercise bike and now added Pilates with props.
I’ve never been a supplement person but I have added D3, B12 and Turmeric to my daily regimen.
I look forward to hearing from everyone.

I’m at 125 now. I’m still a very short, pear-shaped gal… but a slightly smaller pear now. Fitting into old pants has been encouraging. Not sure that I’ll ever get down to 118, like I did the last time I lost this weight 15 years years ago when we got a fitness center at work… I will try hard to get down near 120 and keep it there.
Goal: -33
Lbs to goal: 19
Total progress since 7/5: -14
Eating strategy: WW and 16:8 Intermittent Fasting
Exercise goals per week: 1 long bike ride, commuter biking, Bodypump during week
Exercise completed this week: commuter biking to and from work. 72 mile bike ride last weekend, nothing this weekend. Really need to get some exercise during the week.
Goal- keeps changing as I slowly move the scale down
Lbs to current goal- 4 lbs
This week down 1 lb which I’m happy about because I’ve been struggling with making good choices
Exercise goals- make it to gym 3 days a week. I’ve been pretty consistent with this.
I’ve slacked this week on my at home weight training this week. Need to start that back up. Also need to add some cardio on my days I don’t go to the gym.
Hip measurement is continuing to decrease but waist is still not budging. I saw a photo of myself this weekend and that tummy bulge while smaller is still there.

I was down about a pound last week and lol - avg 0.98 lb/week (shockingly close to my goal). My main victory was re-joining the fitness center at work. I’ve still not been able to get there for a lunch group session, but today I went to learn the drill for badge reader / sign-in. I did switch clothes and spend a few minutes trying the workout machines a bit,

Exercise completed this week: commuter biking to and from work. Exercise is really my weak spot. I’m not giving up on it…I will get it figured out!
174.2 after a week out of town visiting my elderly parents. Hard to resist their candy dish full of mellowcreme pumpkins and fun-size Snickers bars (at least I logged 'em in My Fitness Pal).
I did get in a couple of walks on the treadmill at their senior community and now that I’m home am cleared for slow rides on my Peloton bike! Took a 20 minute endurance ride yesterday, paing close attention to the HR monitor and not going above zone 2 (75% of max heart rate). Never thought I’d say I’m very happy to be able to work out again!
Here’s to a week full of positive changes for all of us weight loss buddies!
As I near my goal, it is getting harder to keep up the pound-per-week loss. If progress slows, so be it (as long as I am eating sensibly and exercising).
Today’s weigh-in shows me at 170.6, half a pound from my interim goal. Time to set a new one! Headed out of town for long weekend of museums and fine dining; won’t have trouble getting my steps in and hope that helps counter the extra calories I’ll be enjoying. Staying in Airbnb so at least healthy breakfast will be easy.
My present goal is to reach 150. I had hoped to make it by the end of this month but I’m not going to make it.
Progress- from start of this thread I had been down 14 lbs. this week I am back up a lb
It has been 2 weeks of eating the wrong foods. I traveled for a funeral which meant a number of meals out. I broke my no fast food rule. Ended up at The Habit for one meal and In and Out for lunch on the road home. The next weekend brought a family birthday and wedding and out of town guests which meant more dining out.
My real weakness- not being able to resist bread and white carbs when I’m dining out. As much as I know this for a fact I still find myself making the choice to have the burger or chicken sandwich with the fries.
Exercise- with travel and visitors I missed almost a week at the gym. Went back yesterday and will go today. Hope to get back on schedule. A good friend just joined my gym and she is a motivational person. She is excited to try some of the different classes and machines. I’m hoping she gets me to try a few new classes or pieces of equipment.
