We're famous, sort of :-)

As I’ve posted elsewhere, CC keeps me off the streets.

I have a senior and a sophomore and a grad at Hopkins, so I’m actually legit!

The parents here on CC are great.
I look at things this way.

I’m doing everything for the first time here. Advice may save me from big trouble.

It’s similar to someone who is traveling down a river, and has a chance to stop by shore, and talk to folks who have been down the same river before. “Keep to the left. Watch for the sunken tree. The water level dips in August, but is high in May. You’ll never make it in that canoe.”

If I listen, I might have an easier time.

I first came to CC 10 years ago. I kinda of “knew” who was female or male. DonnaL…not question. She read female. And then she took a year off to transition. Heck, I knew she was a woman from the start.

Uh oh.

I mean, really, are we expected to give this up when we no longer have a college student?
well I have one in grad school and one taking GRE’s Tuesday so I guess I’m legit for a bit longer. I won’t say how many gap years there were. Ahem.

Mine went back to school after a 6 year hiatus before earning his BA last year. So I figure that gives, owe, at least a few more years of credibility, right?

Mine are both talking about grad school, one a PhD. I figure I have a good 8 years of legitimacy left.

I joined 7 years ago and have 6 more legitimate years at a minimum of at least one kid in college. Yay!

I think we should get some kind of badge when we move to the “other side” of having all children complete in their education. I wouldn’t mind being labeled emirati/emeritae here

Since I’m a moderator, I figure I can stick around forever and keep hassling everyone!

I love CC. S starts his first post college job tomorrow, and I will stay around for a long time. D is a junior in college. I agree that by reading here I bug my kids less.

I still have nieces and nephews in college (and one who’s in 8th grade). Since they all ask me about college stuff, I figure I’m legit for a good while!

And when your kiddos get every possible degree out there, you can always legitimize your CC presence by going back to school!

And you can come back to CC for help w your kids’ wedding planning.

If we stay long enough, we will be talking about grandkids’s college application.

Naah. By then SkyNet will have taken over, and we’ll have direct data-to-brain upload, like in The Matrix.

We will be a hive community by then.

^^It’s coming - see Post #96!

I have been here since Jan. 2009 and still have one in college.

I love cc. I have a special fondness for the many long time posters who have stuck around. I am sad when I notice that someone is no longer posting.
