We're just trying to save money, yo!

To all those who’ve taken the USABO:
So apparently, everyone just reads Campbell over and over. But does anyone know if it makes that much of a difference which edition?
e.g. the latest is the 8th–would it be okay if we studied out of the 7th? (It’s just a lot cheaper to buy.) Or all they all pretty much the same?
Thanks!!

They’re all the same. One has prettier pictures. The other has people with 70’s haircuts.

So what’s the oldest edition that’d be safe to use?
I mean, it’s not like the have breakthroughs in science every week.

I’ve the 6th, it was 20 dollars when I bought it, I’m sure with the new edition out you could get it for a few dollars (Edit: Yeah, at amazon it’s like less than $5). Not that the lower editions are bad, but at that point, you can’t really save much more money.

I got the 4th for free and it’s the exact same thing as the 8th. (I compared).
