I’m super nervous
I don’t really have any hope anymore. I got rejected from Swarthmore and waitlisted at Barnard yesterday, and I’m pretty sure Wesleyan is going to be the same. We’ll see soon, though. Good luck everyone!
It’s funny, because while it is undoubtedly my dream school, having gotten into my other top choice last week somehow mellowed whatever decision I get today. If I get rejected or waitlisted, whatever. Wesleyan was a match made in heaven (couldn’t find a single thing I didn’t like about it), but if it wasn’t meant to be, oh well. :-<
Does anyone know the last date we can respond to Wesleyan of whether or not we will be attending?
Probably May 1st (that’s when most schools require a deposit I believe) At least that’s when schools have been requesting you accept their waitlist spot (haha clearly I’ve been there done that several times now…)

I am sorry to bring you disappointing news. The admission committee at Wesleyan is unable to offer you admission for the Fall of 2016. I know this decision is not what you had hoped for and want to assure you that we spent a good deal of time evaluating your application, including your essays and your letters of recommendation.
One of the most difficult tasks we have in the Office of Admission is choosing a freshman class from the many talented candidates who apply. Given the keen competition this year, we find we are unable to offer admission to many students who clearly have the ability to succeed and to contribute. Although we are not able to offer you a place at Wesleyan, I am confident you will do well in the college you choose.
The admission staff joins me in wishing you every success.
