Wesleyan University Class of 2028 Official Thread

yeah that too. other schools either flat out say it, or their countdowns countdown to the time of decision.

Not sure. She’s flipflopped on whether she wants to do cross-country or track in college.

Again, best of luck with Wes. As well-resourced as Williams is, Wes seems like it’s more balanced and fun in some ways.

fair enough. Well I hope whatever school she attends and if she runs works well for her!

Weird- Wesleyan deleted their announcement of RD decisions on their IG story.

pulling out of releasing at this point would be strange- could be that the story expired. They have already made a decision, why would they postpone release?

Oh, that’s true. Forgot stories expire haha

I don’t think they deleted it. I just think the story expired after 24 hours! Slightly odd that their countdown ended at midnight with confetti and yet nothing has happened for this many hours. Oh well - almost there!

So funny- waited for months just fine but now the last few mins are excruciating.

yeah it’s so frustrating- i am going to end up at similar schools to those who didn’t even take calculus. i’m in calc 3 :sob:. it’s not looking too good. sometimes just can’t help but wonder ā€œthere’s so many good applicants- but it’s still never me.ā€ can’t stop wondering where i went wrong…

my gc said i applied to a good range of schools and she thinks ill get into some of my reaches……it’s not looking like that

C24 was rejected. It was a reach, so they’re neither particularly surprised nor disappointed.

For me I’m more upset because it was my most reachable reach- and I was waitlisted at schools that had lower acceptance rates. If it was a super high reach I’d say ā€œwell I wasn’t getting in for sure anyway,ā€ but I feel like I had a good shot. What is it that these schools want? Curing cancer? Sorry for the rant….

In my school, the middle 50 of the grade had no problems getting into their reach schools. But me- and the rest of the top decile, is just getting rejection after rejection. Is it better to be a low achieving student if you will end up at the same school anyway? And avoid all the stress?

Waitlisted :frowning: Getting stressed out bc I have yet to get an acceptance from anywhere other than my safeties and Ik that financial aid is often harder to get even if people manage to get off the waitlist

Me too. Only got into safeties so far with significant merit aid (i didn’t apply for fa). So it’s either they want me and offer 30k a year, or they don’t want me at all. ugh.

I have 2 good waitlists so far
