I am a junior year student from a cbse school in India. My school does not offer IB or AP classes. Assess my chances of getting into an ivy for a science major:
A sat score of 1500
Grades-90%
National level pistol shooters and most ivies have a shooting team
Founder of an initiative aimed at decreasing gender gap in STEM fields
Head girl in sophomore year
Awarded Student of The Year in sophomore year
Right now, I’d say you still need better standardised testing. Go for another attempt at the SAT in your senior year, and definitely take at least subject tests and aim for 770-800.
All of the ivies are reaches, but more so for international students and even MORE so from students from India.
You are competing with thousands of students, from your country, for a handful of seats.
If you plan on going to US schools, apply to schools where they want a diverse student body: the midwest and south. Those schools may pay your educational expenses.
I think your grades and SAT score are pretty good, but need to be higher to enter an Ivy League
