I know it’s pretty late, but I’m studying and pretty nervous.
Later today I have to take a competency test for my summer class (calc) so that I can be placed into AP Calc. I finished before the deadline but I still don’t know a lot of the topics that were given to me (Calculate d/dx of an implicit function, Calculate angular acceleration of a line when the angular acceleration is defined as a function of time, hyperbolic functions, etc) but I’ve covered up to finding the area bounded by a line and a curve (about 1/2).
I asked for a list of topics so that I could focus on topics that are most likely to be on the test, but there aren’t any available for higher level math (beyond Algebra 2). I don’t even know if I’ll get a formula sheet!
I only need a 65% to pass, but I want to go beyond the bare minimum. Luckily I can retake the test if I don’t feel comfortable and there is no time limit but I won’t be informed whether I’ve passed or not until last minute (the day before school starts).
Does anyone have any broad topics that one would be tested on in a NON AP Calc course? Tips or trick for remembering harder equations and/or rules? Any Help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
