What are some nice extracirriculars outside of school?

Hi

I was interested in getting my EMT-B certificate and volunteering at an ambulance center for my senior year, but I found out that you have to be 18 to do so. Are there any other volunteering / service based extracirriculars out there that require some sort of commitment? I see many programs about volunteering abroad but I’m really looking for something that continues onto my senior year. Thanks

really… we have a thread on tap water but nobody can help me find some nice extracirriculars?

Spelling bee clubs are good extracirriculars.

I know none outside of school, but we do have this club called Best Buddies in our school. You basically pair up with a special ed kid, and build a one-on-one friendship with them. Rather than wasting your time joining one of those clubs like NHS, join something more meaningful and actually worthwhile. Some colleges have this club also. Maybe start your own club if your school doesn’t have one.

Boy/Girl Scouts can be good, IF you can actually find a troop that isn’t overly controlled by parents.
