University of Chicago stopped requiring the Profile several years ago. The initiative was to help students who might have difficulty with getting the Profile completed and getting the NPC Profile completed.
If you have a question about that…give U of Chicago a call.
But really…I don’t believe Chicago requires the Profile any longer.
There is no mention of the Profile on the Chicago website for prospective students.
This might be the reason it’s on the Profile/college board website:
Returning students accepted in the 2014-2015 school year would be required to complete the Profile…so there could still be some students completing the 2018-2019 financial aid applications…maybe because they took a year off or something…and are still students.

Centre College is a liberal arts college that does not require the CSS profile, and they have good merit aid and a more reasonable cost of attendance.
