We need a retirement thread for the $50k to $100k AGI people. The other thread can be a bit annoying at time.
Threads that aren’t that long, but posters do not read previous posts before responding, and their post is not relevant/ is repetitive/ is not factually based, when the original question asks for facts not opinion.
Threads where people freely admit their 6-figure income is enough to “live comfortably,” save for retirement, and pay for their home in their upscale neighborhood but complain when schools won’t give them need-based aid.
Threads where people tell low income (~$40k) students they can go to school for free (or nearly free).
Threads from internationals who not only expect to attend our schools for free but intend to stay here and work after they graduate.
Threads where I didn’t answer as kindly as I could have if I thought more before pressing “post.”
Any thread that involves a controversial subject where the posters get nasty when there are opposing views.
What is wrong with working here?
Threads from students who complain about the unattractive FA at OOS public schools-- well, duh…
I’ve lost of how many threads this season asking whether it is worth borrowing 30k/year for UCB/UCLA rather than go to in-state flagship.
Is that even possible?
Another: asking for financial aid at top schools when his/her grades are just subpar
Those threads where you already know from the title that one or two “infamous” posters will appear out of nowhere to project their own circumstances in a mostly off-topic response.
Which tend to lead to the same ol’ arguments by the the same ol’ posters.
Bump.
LOL, BUMP is the most annoying!
Bump×100
It’s been 2 minutes since I posted my Chance-me-for-all-Ivies request . BUMP.
Threads with titles like “What is the lowest SAT accepted to [insert very selective school]?” expecting some sort of conclusion from anecdotal evidence (you know, so-and-so’s best friend’s cousin’s boyfriend got in with a 1900, etc.)
Or random posters who say things like Carnegie Mellon is a match.
Duplicates to threads that are already started. Same topic, same links. Etc.
Long-winded questions.
Definitely the “chance me I’ll chance you” bit today. then bump too soon. I just don’t get the logic that if you need to ask your chances you can tell others theirs…
None are annoying, there is no point to come to CC to get annoyed, people really care that much? Interesting, like there are no real life issues to get annoyed about?
When a poster starts a second thread…exactly like one they already have going! I mean really, do you think you will get more or different answers if you have two threads about the same thing going at once?
