@Nrdsb4 March 14th is Pi Day. Get it? March 14th? 3/14/15? Pie? Pi? π? 3.1415926?
It’s a real nerd joke, which not coincidentally, is when MIT releases its decisions (this year 3/14/15 at 9:26 am).

To amuse my teenage kids, on March 14, 2015 (3.14.15) I baked an apple pie with a big Pi symbol vent carved in the top crust. Then I uploaded the photo of my Pi pie at 3-14-15 9:26.
All my nerdy FB friends gave me a “like”
We’ll have to wait 100 years for another 3.14.15 date.
Straight up rhubarb - I like things a little tart
Agree with you on straight up rhubarb. Soooooo delicious!
The official pie rankings:

Nooo, we can’t rely on rankings to determine the goodness of pies! Which pie gives you the most likelihood of 'fitting" … into your clothes again? You must visit and taste all pies to be sure!
THAT takes the cake! You win the internet today, @albert69
Lol, thanks @saintfan. A cake? Wouldn’t that be a safety? I mean, you can make those from a box…
Well, you could make the cake from a box. It would be cheaper. But for the best experience, go for the scratch made cake, although its more work, time and money, its worth the investment.
@GMT I think a picture of the pie you baked might have shown up on one of the MIT forums. I remember seeing it - unless someone else did the same thing.
There’s no need for a scratch baked cake just to impress the PTA ladies when everyone knows that kids do just as well with a box cake - even better with cupcakes. They’ll never know the difference and if they do they’re just whiners.
Umm, there IS a cleanup crew! Just alert the mods - we need reports!
make that “entitled whiners”
It was a joke - there was nothing actually reportable
Not to state the obvious, but if we were to clean up a lot of the threads in the cafe, the threads would be very, very short.
And then there are the threads that remind you that you can never, ever admit on CC where you went to undergrad because it has become a running joke around here. Le sigh.
Did you go to Western Podunk State?
" If your kid is not getting a degree from an Ivy League school in one of the STEM areas, their life is worth nothing."
@saintfan: To borrow one of the best phrases I’ve ever read on CC, I like to think of it as one of the “better directionals.”
Im sad my fav, sweet potato is so low. However, my pecan is right near the top!
