Also annoying is some poster presenting their opinion with authority because they heard their parent talking about it, and discounting the opinions of the adult posters who have first hand-real life experience in that field.
Threads by parents asking for school suggestions for their B student/middling scores kid, then deriding as “I think he can do better” the solid schools that are bring recommended.

The one in which a poster asks why a top Southern private school prefers LGBT and other ethnicities “over more lively and socially engaged students who actually want to be there and are not ivy rejects.”
Threads where students do not make any attempt to hide that they are double-depositing just before May 1 to further delay making a decision. They have no idea that they are taking up a spot that they will not fill, potentially depriving someone from coming off the wait list.
Similarly, those who apply ED, get accepted, and do not withdraw their other applications, looking to weasel out of ED.
The ones where OP is ranting about a subject , then it comes out 4 pages later that it was a misunderstanding , problem is solved and posters continue to post about initial rant without reading all of the posts . Giving ridiculous legal advice when there is no longer an issue.

Yup and that makes it even more annoying…you try to update people and they still ignore it.

Kid is a “genius”, but got an 18 on the ACT because “he isn’t good at tests.”
@labegg I don’t see morbidly wrong(if academically deterioriating) with “playing games” since her daughter needed high GPA for scholarship(it was stated the family couldn’t afford state university)

Ones where the OP says she’ll go to any school that will give her the money that she needs except the southern ones .
