what are the odds ?

Hi,
I am living in Pakistan but one of my friend is currently studying in a top ranked college in USA and he gave me a advise to make fake documents, letters of recommendations and certificates which proves that you are a great tennis player in your region and HS. And you will be get recruited !
I just want to know is it possible ? What will happen if i get caught ? And what are the odds of getting caught ?

I doubt you’ll get any advice here suggesting you commit fraud. If that is your character, please do us all a favor and stay in Pakistan.

You will get caught.

I really suspect this is a troll post, but eh, what the heck.

News item: Coaches travel overseas to visit recruits. All the time.

You do not need letters of recommendations. You just need to hack into computers of Pakistan Tennis Federation and create yourself a fake winning record and a fake ranking. You will also need a fake recruiting video. You can get examples from Youtube. If your video editing skills are not up to task you can send in a video of some top tennis player under your name.
I see that you want to be recruited to Stanford. Then you will have to hack into computers of International Tennis Federation. Their computers are in London. Junior world ranking of 100 or better should do the trick. Good luck.

I am not doing this !
This is not my thing and u r right i want to get into stanford but not like that. I want to get recruited but on the bases of what i am.
Thanks for your help

oh good heavens. Your friend is wrong. Schools don’t recruit athletes based on “paper records”…they recruit based on videos of actual games, and speaking with the athlete’s coaches, etc.

What is the “bases of what you” are upon which you feel you are recruitable?
