What are they looking for?

Hey everyone I am new to this site.

So I am currently a sophomore in high school and my plan is to go to UCSD. My school always talks about what a certain college has to offer, but all I want to know is what do they look for in you when you apply (specifically UC Davis). I plan on becoming a veterinarian, but don’t know what I should take in high school (or college) that can make me shine brighter than the thousands of other students that are going to apply.

Thanks for reading!

Are you a CA resident?

When I said UCSD I mean UC Davis, oops.

Get good grades, high test scores, write interesting essays that tell admissions who you are as a person and participate in EC’s that are meaningful for you.
Take a rigorous course load but not so rigorous your grades suffer. Take the highest level of Math available, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Make sure you exceed the minimum a-g course requirements.

Yes I am.
