What are YOU asking for for Christmas?

People I exchange gifts with ask for ideas, and I can never think of anything! I’m fortunate to be able to buy what I want or need, within reason (expensive things would be over gift-giver’s price range), so I usually resort to asking for gift cards to places I frequently shop. I do wish people would just surprise me, but I’m also guilty of needing ideas for what to buy other people. What makes it even more difficult is my birthday is four days after Christmas. Tell me what’s on your wish list!

A time machine.

I bought myself a barefoot dreams robe. I’ve been wanting one but deemed them too expensive.

Life if short, I’ve been wearing a worn out robe for a decade. So I bought it. For myself. I’ll tell the husband. Maybe wait for him to notice. Either or.

My mother loved her BD robe. Best gift I ever gave her!

A new travel cosmetic case. The old one had to be thrown out after about a dozen years of service.
A weighted vest and a balance board. Both discussed on the fitness thread here.
A small case that holds a credit card or two, an ID and some cash. That way it’s easy to transfer between my purse, my fanny pack and my yoga bag.

A wind chime tuned to Barbershop 7th from Woodstock. Found a good black Friday sale.
Also a Jackery 1000 explorer battery (also black Friday).

A pair of Old Navy sweatpants. I’m finally thinking of letting go of some of my current ones, purchased for $5 in the mid 1990s… My newest ones are from when I coached swimming in the 2000s. I bought one pair and love them!

Some youth literature books in German - Harry Potter and another thriller/murder mystery books. I’ve read 3, but they’re hard to get and $$$. I’m used to freebie library (English) books.

We don’t do gifts with each other anymore and use the money for a trip. We’re going to Las Vegas this year for Christmas, and I’ve asked for a massage at the spa at Fontainebleau.

Best thing I’ve done is have pouches for all of my stuff. I can transfer purses and slings in a second.

I had a longchamp cosmetic case that I loved but I wore it out. Ordered a new longchamp one but it’s slightly too big. Never fear lol, got a MZ Wallace pouch as a gift with purchase and that’s perfect.

Big fan of a card case also. I do struggle with change so I mostly never spend cash because I hate having change

A new iPad 10th generation 64 gb (just bought it today at Costco) and a Zizzo Campo folding bicycle that fits me and has 2 inch tires (bought on Amazon last week and already took it for a spin). So, I am set.

Paul Hollywood’s “Bread” cookbook; “Ev’ry Valley: The Desperate Times and Troubled Lives That Made Handel’s Messiah” by Charles King; one of the amazing no-iron women’s oxfords (avail. in all different patterns ) from Lands End. Other stuff that people might not find transferable (images of crows on jewelry and art)

A slim gold chain and a pair of Darn Tough socks.

In addition, peas on earth, good will, two men.

When we were in SF, I bought 2 pairs of dressier pull on slacks that have a velour lining plus a pair of joggers with velour lining. They are all for travel. I also bought a mid weight wool layering top from Minus33. I bought an airpod pro 2 but may be gifting it to H because it doubles as a hearing aid and hd MAY actually wear it. I feel pretty set for travel clothes.

Cologne from Bermuda that finally ran out and a pair of heated gloves.

Interested in the AirPod pro 2 but hate to buy it and not like the hearing aids part.

Nothing…I honestly have no ideas. A trip to NYC to see a show would be nice…and have dinner with a friend there. That would be fine with me.

My DD asked what she could get me. Last year she got me an LLBean sweater, and this years version is a different color. So…she is getting me that.

I am hoping DS will make me brunch when we visit him. He is a fabulous cook.

DH will just have to figure something out. Really, I’m not picky.

S asked me what I wanted last week when we were together for Thanksgiving. I gave him two book titles and expect to get those, but what I really want Santa to bring is relief for my back issues. Having minimally invasive, outpatient back surgery on the 18th and hoping that I will be much improved for 2025 :crossed_fingers: :crossed_fingers:

Nothing-- we buy our own stuff when we want it, not necessarily for holidays.
