<p>I just put a blueberry pie in the oven…and I am stumped for the rest of the meal!
Anyone else have the same problem?

<p>We’ve been invited to a graduation party so we won’t be cooking anything tomorrow. But up until the invitation. D was planning on cooking her dad’s favorite meal of pork chops, sauteed cabbage and greens. I was going to make a sandwich. </p>
<p>Kiddos will probably do their skyping/calling, and I’m taking Mr B to see Porgy and Bess at the 5th Ave. Ssshhhh… Please don’t tell him, it is a surprise. 
as far as food goes, I’ll grill some steaks and veggies.</p>
<p>My dad’s in the hospital and won’t be home until Monday at the earliest. I haven’t figured out what we’re going to do because I’ve been distracted and completely forgot. </p>

<p>Brunch at a place we have gone every year since we moved here. We didn’t expect to all be in town on the day, so that in itself will be a treat. </p>
<p>We are having FIL and MIL over for brunch. My S and his GF will join us. I will make challah french toast and bacon and sausage. I am headed to the farmers market today to pick up fresh strawberries. I am hoping for sunshine so we can eat outside.
In the evening H will get the treat of having two of his children home for dinner. Our youngest is driving home from college and will arrive mid afternoon. We will make pizza with dough from Trader Joes.

<p>Celebrating today because DH is leaving early tomorrow for a business trip. Brunch, calls from the kids, dinner at his favorite restaurant, a small gift. </p>
<p>H wanted to go to a local Brewery this year for dinner. So burgers and beer! (For him, not me) This place has lots of other options for me who doesn’t eat burgers or drink beer. I’m thrilled to be off the hook for cooking this year.
ksm: In year’s past I have made a delicious prime rib roast in the oven, marinated with a bbq dry rub and finished off with a bbq sauce over it as it comes out of the oven. He loves that! Asparagus and potatoes go well with that. You can make with bone-in or boneless. Actually Lamb Chops on the grill sounds yummy too.</p>
<p>We’ll be together with S1 and FDIL, and S2, which is rare for us. We’ll go out to lunch near where S1 lives. Actually we’ll also be celebrating his birthday and mine which are both within a week on either side of father’s day.</p>
<p>I did decide to go with grilled lamb chops with balsamic vinegar and honey! I have never eaten lamb, so it will be all about him! I agree with Mom60 a- eating outside whenever possible is the way to go!

<p>Nothing, I’m doing nothing. Going to play golf and they are having a prime rib special which we will be eating along with a group of neighbors. Going to be great. </p>

<p>I normally take my dad out for dinner the night before Father’s Day (as a vegetarian, I don’t even attempt to cook meat as I’m afraid of doing it improperly and making someone sick). As I’m not sure when he’s going to be back to a normal appetite, I’ll have to find something non-food to do. Maybe I’ll surprise him with some Tigers tickets or something for later on in the summer.</p>
<p>My fiance is going to Cedar Point with his dad and brothers. You couldn’t pay me to go to Cedar Point on any Sunday- let alone Father’s Day! Those lines are going to be atrocious. </p>
<p>Hubby’s a Southern Boy, so I’m smoking brisket over night, frying up some pies, and making him his grandmothers potato salad. In the morning, I’m making him some biscuits egg whites and grits and sending him off to a baseball game with my son! Lots of stuff for him!</p>
<p>Guess we should ask My H what he would like! He usually works Sundays but happens to have tomorrow off. I thought about his favorite French toast for breakfast and maybe a fresh strawberry pie for later with local strawberries. </p>

<p>^ LOL. If it is, that’s news to us. Thank you for the heads up. I’m going to call my fiance… they’re not the kind of family that would check on these types of things before driving a few hours. </p>
