What can CollegeBoard do if you cheat? Nothing.

<p>Honestly, cheating is more effort than it’s worth. Yea the SAT carries a lot of weight in terms of creating a future for yourself, but honestly it’s probably just easier to go nose to the grind stone for a month or two and get the scores yourself. You’re going to need the study skills for college anyway.</p>

<p>Phones aren’t allowed in the testing center at all lol. But at our school, its pretty obvious people have it, even the proctor said to turn them off.</p>

<p>I was seriously thinking about it Saturday, but then I sucked it up and dealt. And I only got one SC wrong.</p>

<p>i do agree that it is bad to cheat… but the sat doesnt really measure how well you work in school so your not necessarily gonna be suddenly screwed for college if you cheat unless your a lazy bum in which case you probably dont want to go to a hard college but i would cheat if i could but it really wouldnt help too much unless you know the kid next to you is getting everything right</p>

<p>I don’t see how cheating even helps much anyway. For math, maybe a few questions regarding topics like factorials or probability, for writing the occasional grammar rule, and for CR some of the tougher SC questions. I can’t see how it helps all that much, especially if one is already scoring 2100+, unless sneak a few SC points. </p>

<p>Then again I’ve only cheated in Spanish class because our teacher was a complete ditz, so I’m not that creative or bold in that regard.</p>

Hm… Cheating entails doing things against the rules, but is there a rule that says “Don’t cheat”? Seems unnecessary.</p>

A lot of guilt, yes. Not worth it, yes. But “immortal” and will “accompany one to the grave”? If the most immoral thing one ever does is cheat on the SAT, then they’ve probably done a lot less ill than most.</p>

Does college board really have the power to get you rejected from most colleges if you cheat? (use cellphone, etc.). I thought all they do is make the test invalid and make you retake it. afterall, they don’t have much of a reason to do that anyways

One would think they’d put you on a list of cheaters sent to colleges, but there is no evidence of this that I know of.</p>

If you cheat and get caught, the consequence is not just invalidation of that particular test, but a future ban from all SAT’s.

So the trick is to not cheat on BOTH the SAT <em>and</em> the ACT?</p>
