What can CollegeBoard do if you cheat? Nothing.

Does college board really have the power to get you rejected from most colleges if you cheat? (use cellphone, etc.). I thought all they do is make the test invalid and make you retake it. afterall, they don’t have much of a reason to do that anyways

Well if you keep cheating, your scores will keep being invalidated, so you won’t have an SAT score to send in to a college. Also, you will have wasted quite a bit of money in the process.

Well eventually one of your attempts at cheating will be successful and you’ll have a great sat score to send to collegee

Well I get the feeling that they will enact some special punishment if they repeatedly catch you cheating.

Why cheat? It’s a waste of time and money. In the end, you’re only cheating one person–yourself.

Cheating is for weaklings.

Get to be some place because you deserve to be. You will almost be guaranteed to be thrown out of the testing center but if said person manages to get away with it, they’re not worth very much in my eyes. Or anyone who has a sense of morality.

Maybe you should watch the movie called The Perfect Score.

If you get caught and the proctor has to deal with it, it will disrupt the class, and the noise and distraction could hurt others’ scores. What is better, anyway, to get into the school you should get into based on your ability or to get into a school that requires ability you don’t have?

someone i know cheated on the SAT. He was eventually accepted into a college that would not have accepted him if he had not cheated. He dropped out the first semester, not being able to keep up academically.

Even if you got away with cheating, you will either be filled with penitence and remorse or you will “sign the contract of losing your future”. In my case, if I was offered a 2400, that is not the result of my OWN hard work, I’d spit on this offer’s face and would get it myself! For, after all, what are the real consequences of cheating??!! A totally unblessed life, an immortal feeling of regret and guilt that would accompany one to the grave, and a total fiasco in work!!

I agree. And it’s wrong, too

If you cheat and get caught, the consequence is not just invalidation of that particular test, but a future ban from all SAT’s.

cheaters=wimps, man up and take the test. if you do bad then work hard and study and take it again. also, correct me if I’m wrong but if you get caught cheating doesn’t the scores of everyone in your classroom get their scores canceled too?

Go to bathroom, look up vocab on phone, come back and change your answers.

Proctor can’t do anything if he doesn’t catch it.

theimpatientone you sound like you are quite experienced in this… *calls collegeboard with his ip address xD

Yes. As far as I know, this can happen.

Congrats, O impatientone… you probably have just caused a rule change requiring cell phones to be collected or left in cars.

Wow, if my score got cancelled like that, I’d beat the snot out of that kid. I wouldn’t even say anything; I’d just take a pipe and start swinging. Well, I wouldn’t go to that extent, but I’d be ****ED OFF.

There are over 3800 colleges on the College Board, so chances are if you’re caught cheating, College Board will find some way to keep you out of a huge portion of them.

If you cheat, you are cheating yourself!

“Wow, if my score got cancelled like that, I’d beat the snot out of that kid. I wouldn’t even say anything; I’d just take a pipe and start swinging. Well, I wouldn’t go to that extent, but I’d be ****ED OFF.”

^ SERIOUSLY.
