What can I do?

Hey! So I feel that I didn’t academically challenge myself as much as I should have throughout my first two years of high school. Going into senior year I’ll already have a few AP classes on my transcript but I wonder if there’s anything else I can do to make my transcript look a little bit more rigorous?

Get all A grades. Do ECs you love. Write great essays,

Perhaps dual enrollment would be an option?

All you can do is move forward as best you can:
– Take the most challenging schedule you can comfortably manage and do your best.
– Work to make a meaningful contribution to ECs you care about.
– Study for standardized tests.
–When the time comes, create a well- balanced application list with reach, match, and safety schools that appear affordable and that you would be happy to attend.

How many APs does your high school offer? DS’s school doesn’t offer that many APs. He’s up to 8 and has gotten into very competitive colleges.

Your record is your record.

Your transcript doesn’t necessarily need to be more rigorous.

You’ll find a list of schools to apply to - and I’m sure many possible opportunities to study in the future.

As we know nothing about you, it’s hard to comment - given we don’t know your record or overall future desires.

But I promise you there is many a college out there for you, many APs or not.

Best of luck.
