What content should you cut down on for a research paper/speech?

I can’t seem to find anything to cut down my research paper/speech on. It is about technology addiction and how it hurts our society. I’m having a hard time going under the time limit. What do you guys cut down on when you go over the word limit/ time limit on a paper?

Is anyone willing to read it and tell me what they would cut down? PM me if you want to read it. Thanks in advance! :D

i try to cut down on really specific details, and just give the basic material if i have to. also, make your parenthetical resources as concise as possible.

PM me if you want serious editing. I am good at that.

Anyone else willing to read my paper and see what should be cut down?

Yeah… for a grant application, we cut down our project description from ~500 words to 75. That was tough!!!

Get rid of adjectives. If you ever say anything like “enormous and monumental,” just pick one of those words, pick a new word that fits BETTER, or get rid of both words! Also, see if you can consolidate information into more concise sentences.
