What did y'all turn down for W and M?

Hey, just wondering… I’ll start:

Boston College, Colgate, Davidson, UCLA, UC Berkeley

Nearly a full scholarship to American University SPA, Mary Washington, and University of Richmond.

If you can’t tell…I live in Virginia.

Cool, I’m from California… It’ll be a long flight.

Nobody since I applied early decision.

Boston University, The George Washington University (with 1/2 tuition scholarship), Sarah Lawrence College, University of Texas-Austin

William & Mary is the best of the bunch, so I’m not all that worried.

Penn State, Tulane, Carnegie Mellon, Boston University, Franklin and Marshall, and Swarthmore.

It was really between W&M and Swat in the end; don’t ask me why I chose W&M.

because it felt right to you?

Haverford, Skidmore, Lafayette, Drew, Rensselaer, Franklin & Marshall, Drexel, Case Western Reserve, University of Mary Washington, with a combined $452,440 in scholarships.

Duke (off the waitlist), Vanderbilt, Emory, full tuition at the University of Miami, and Maryland. I am so excited about W&M!!

UPenn,Cornell,NYU,USC,Syracuse,VCU

macuch88, did VCU have a special program you were looking at?

They have a good Pre-Med program.Why?

I was just curious, seemed kinda out of place on that list of schools. I agree that they have a strong premed program.

<– wants nothing to do with science =P

Do you mean the guaranteed medical school thing?

My son’s others were Ithaca College, University of Delaware, University of Maryland, and American University. Ithaca offered a 1/2 tuition scholarship but was a (close) second choice. UD is our in-state choice but too familiar, too close to home, and too big. These other four offer journalism, which is what he wants to get into, but he decided to go the liberal arts route at W&M.
