Do top 20 colleges prefer to see:
B+, B+,B+,A, A, A, A or A, A, A, A, A, A, C+? I only ask because it seems to me that I have done better despite that one C+. Do they weigh them the same because of the C or is the second one still better? I’m a sophomore and this is the comparison of my second semester freshman year and my first semester sophomore year. I dream of going to Stanford. Is that C gonna ruin my chances?

The courses taken sophomore year are all honors and one AP compared to only three honors freshman year. The C+ is in honors geometry which is really difficult for me considering it is math and I am inept when it comes to math lol.

You probably want to bring that up to at least a B-. I hear Cs are a big no-no for top colleges, but I’m sure kids with Cs have gotten in before.
