What do you buy at Costco?

In addition to normal grocery shopping, we always buy the froyo on the way out. It is soooo good!

Forgot to mention- I buy ink for my printers there-- usually wait for a coupon so the price is better. Ordered a desk chair for DS and if you order before 10 its delivered the next day. Worked as promised!

We have done very well renting cars through the Costco site. We also have used them for business services such as credit card processing and health insurance and have been very happy with the rates as well as the service.

I recently purchased a Kirkland brand sheet set and have been very happy with the quality

Love this tread! I buy lots of stuff. my best buy of the year was my new Nikkon D5200 camera bundle. The camera is mazing and I saved $200 from Amazons’ price. I usually go for some ethnic food. I always buy a box of Spanakopita appetizers. They are filo dough triangles filled with spinach and feta cheese. I think a box brings 4 dozens for $13. The great thing is that they each dozen is packed individually so you can do a small amount and keep the rest sealed in the freezer. Also they have this tropical flavor sorbets that come inside frozen halves fruits like pineapple, oranges, lemon and coconut. They are perfect for dinner parties. The first time I saw it was at a very fancy dinner party and where I thought the host had made those from scratch until she told me they were from Costco!

We always have a Kirklands lasagna in the freezer for nights I’m just wiped out. It’s pretty large, but with big eaters it’s two meals, or dinner and lunch to the office for a few. I know, processed, but no worse then ordering dominos IMO. Open a bag salad and dinners done.

We’ve done well with contacts but they don’t give decent discounts for insurance here (Anthem/BCBS so not obscure) on glasses so we do much better at the optometrist there. We use our own Dr.

Other favorites are men’s dress socks, mixed nuts, large boxes of cheezits my kids go through like crazy, dried mangos, salmon, printer ink (as mentioned), pnut butter filled pretzel bites for my college son, protein bars for DHs office and S3 to keep in his backpack. Sleeves of trail mix are great!

A while back I’d asked about sheets at Costco. There’s an entire thread. I got the Kirkland 540ct, Supima Sateen. We’ve been very happy with them! The queen set came with four pillow cases which was perfect. They are slightly wrinkled out of the dryer no matter what I do. I only care about the pillow cases because of how they feel so I quickly run an iron over them. My laundry room is big (we bumped out the room below) and the iron is always up or I’d never do this. I think we paid $60 for the set. I wish they came in full sizes but just king and queen. If highly recommend them.

Hmm, S will be getting another contacts script later this summer so maybe I’ll try again. It was almost 2 years ago that I went in with my script and they said that he’d have to see their doc before they would fill it the first time - weird!!!

Bought a package of their lemon creme filled sandwich cookies last week - really yummy! A little bigger than usual cookies so I can have 1 or 2 at the most and be satisfied!

Agree with the good deals on rental cars through Costco. I got the last two we used through them and the prices were very good, plus you can connect it to whatever companies guest account that you already belong to for any perks. My last one was a couple of weeks ago - 3 days for a mid-size car, $46.

Probably mentioned already, but pet meds. I was reminded of that today. I went to pick up Revolution and they were out - and the pharmacy manager who orders is out till Monday. So I called the vet and got two doses so I could treat this month. $56. The entire pack of 6 at Costco is like $85.

When one of ours was dying last year, we saved a few hundred dollars getting his pills at Costco. They’d just started carrying pet meds.

We purchase roughly 60% of our basic needs at Costco. Kosher meat, organic grains, organic produce, frozen produce, paper products, cleaning supplies, tires, gas, coffee, socks, bedding, kitchen appliances, nuts, spices, olive oil, almond butter, gifts, office/school supplies, and so much more.

I shop Costco weekly and never pay for our membership as we earn enough cash bash back to cover the fee.

Sportsmom…you’ve been happy with the health insurance? someone I know was recently laid off and heard about it but reviews online were mixed.

We buy coconut water, hemp seeds, sprouted grain bread, cheese, wine.

TempeMom - Thus far we have been happy with the insurance. The application process was straight forward and quick. We are healthy people (knock on wood) who are not on medications or require constant care. For us the plans offered through Costco worked.

We buy nothing at Costco. Costco used to have a store about 30 miles from us years ago, but they closed it. We still get their magazine in mail though.

Another one here who gets contacts at Costco without using their optometrist. Have for over 20 years.

The raspberries are a great deal right now. $3.99 for a large long tray, double the size of what I can get at Kroger or Publix.

Okay, this will sound very morbid, but, has anyone ever seen the caskets that Costco sells online? Do they look respectable? We are looking into funeral plans, my aunt wants to get things pre-arranged and the prices are so much less than the local funeral home can offer.

sorry for your impending loss, ecmotherx2. I have seen the costco caskets (not in person- on line) but wonder-- where do you have it shipped?? Will the funeral home accept it? Cant imagine sticking it in the garage!!

ooh here’s the answer to my question-- but note too not all states accept deliveries [MUST READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE PURCHASING A CASKET](http://www.costco.com/MUST-READ-THIS-IMPORTANT-INFORMATION-BEFORE-PURCHASING-A-CASKET.product.11762743.html?catalogId=10701&categoryId=30074&identifier=frequently-asked-questions-about-caskets&langId=-1&storeId=10301)

Costco has a chest freezer that can double as a casket. If stored in garage, it won’t look out of place.

And so affordable, lizard.

And then there’s this, Lizard: Funeral[/url”>http://www.costco.com/funeral.html]Funeral
