Bobby Knight.
Oh, wait, I need to unlike MomofWildChild’s post. I thought this was the thread about what you hate that almost everyone else loves! Sorry, MoWC–no negativity about you intended, just about Coach Knight.
I was working at the local CBS affiliate in W Lafayette the night that Bobby Knight threw the chair across the floor at Purdue. Several folks were injured when emboldened Indiana fans threw objects at the Purdue players – it was a mess. We kept playing that throw over and over in slo-mo back in the editing booth. We could not believe anyone would do such a thing.
From that moment I have despised that cowardly, childish, poor excuse for a coach.
JMO, tho!
You clearly don’t know anything about him. He’s done so much good for so many people. Talk to the majority of his former players. Auntie- I suppose you are in the “everybody gets a trophy” camp.

My kids have had good coaches and bad coaches, but grabbing a kid’s testicles is a disqualifier for me.
He certainly messed up a few times, but there was a lot of good. Operative word in that article is “accused”. Yes, there is a lot of bad stuff out there and some bad behavior by Knight. If you think he was the only top coach of his era doing things like that you are sadly mistaken.
I like packing and moving. I find the sorting and planning really enjoyable, and I love adventure. We’ve been in this house 9 years (a record for us) and I’m going stir crazy. It’s an awesome house, but there’s so much of the world left to go live in! So yep, I like moving.
