What do you make on your Foreman Grill??

Got a George Foreman Grill for Christmas… I’m excited to use it - especially for some easy weeknight meals.

Anyone have some Foreman favorites that they’d like to share? Unique or not, doesn’t matter, just looking for some ideas besides what I see on the recipe sites…

About all we use ours for is grilling hamburgers. Have grilled boneless chicken breasts a few times too. Not really exciting, but that’s about it for us.

Paninis! Love my George Foreman grill.

Grilled chicken breasts, turkey burgers, grilled veggies, just about anything! We love ours!

love ours. same foods as above. I don’t love cleaning it though.

I got the one with the removable plates, so I’m hoping cleanup is easy.

Favorite seasonings on the above foods? Anything? Nothing?

Lilmom…I’m thinking about paninis aka pastrami melts…do the insides of your paninis get warm? Melty?

One of my kids makes a lot of Pressed Nutella sandwiches. Nutella and banana, nutella and raspberry, nutella and strawberry.

Grilled cheese and tomato. Sometimes plus avocado, or red onion, or bacon, or all of it.

Pork chops! My husband loves pork hops done on the GF grill.

I’ve used mine for meat but it’s messy. I’d now just use it for panini and cook meat and veggies elsewhere unless there is no broiler/stove/grill around.

My SIL liked using it to grill fish on her balcony so her townhouse didn’t small like salmon. Believe we also grilled a steak with it once.

I use mine exclusively for salmon - throw some teriyaki marinade on the salmon and toss it on the grill (and yes it never loses the salmon smell no matter how well you clean it)

Justamom, yes, our paninis turn out yummy and the cheese melts inside. Just let the grill heat up well beforehand. It makes drab sandwiches look and taste great! Have fun!

Kiddie, I suspect rinsing with white vinegar MAY remove odor, as it does in many situations.

We like marinated chicken breasts, fajitas, grilling the peppers and onions first then marinated skirt steak, grill cheese with tomatoes, We have also done halibut and salmon.

Kiddie and milkandsugar, lil D loves salmon and that would be a great way to cook a meal for one!

It’s great for Costco salmon & turkey burgers. Just preheat it and throw them on direct from the freezer. 5 min for salmon, 7 minutes for turkey. Don’t care, however, for beef burgers on it, but in yucky or cold weather, we make due.

Also use it for grilled sandwiches.

Not real thrilled w steaks or chicken breasts on it.

What model did you get? I picked up up a new one for a family present, but the grill area isn’t as big as our 10yr old one and doesn’t fit 4 burgers on it, nor does it have a timer, which are ‘must haves’. It will probably go back and we will deal with old one whose non-stick surface is worn off in several places, so sandwiches stick.

My friend says that GF-grilled chicken breast kabobs turn out much better and juicier than whole chicken breasts.

Speaking of indoor grills… has anyone here tried this?

nj2011mom…it’s this one:

[George Foreman Precision Grill GRP99 Silver Grill Large Kitchen Grill](http://www.georgeforemancooking.com/products/removable-plate-grills/grp99-precision-grill-silver-grill-large-grill-kitchen-grill.aspx)

Supposed to fit 6 servings, it looks like 6 would be crowded but do-able.

For Kabobs, does it cook the veggies long enough so they taste “cooked” or are they really really crisp? (Since H’s major GI surgery in 2012 he’s not supposed to have raw, crunchy veggies  )

So excited to try it out - but might wait for things to calm down a bit…

I don’t have a George. But the folks I know who DO…make quesidillas! And I’ve eaten them and they are delicious.
