<p>Do yourself a favor and get the first two seasons of the good wife on itunes or netflix or dvd, or blueray, or whatever you use.</p>
<p>they are worth watching, imho.</p>
<p>The first two seasons of The Good Wife are amazing. It gives a great back story to characters who already have a back story. I think it would be helpful to watch a couple episodes to understand the dynamic between everyone at Lockhart Gardner.</p>
<p>I think maybe I watch too much TV! I also like the Good Wife. My problem is with CBS. We DVR almost everything we watch. CBS is insistent to broadcast 60 minutes at 7 on Sunday. They always have sporting events which go over, I can’t stand it during football season they know they won’t be done by 7. So my DVR never can record The Good Wife and it drives me crazy! If I am actually able to watch it, I love that show. </p>
<p>Blue Bloods I like also. Think that Donnie Wahlberg is really good and like the chemistry that he has with his partner which is not sexual and that he loves his wife. But the thing about that show which I don’t like is the younger son. They don’t seem to have any idea of what to do with him. The whole stupid arc about the mob was just very unbelievable and stupid. I wish they would have him go back and become a lawyer just so he has something to do. Many episodes he just shows up at Sunday dinner. </p>
<p>I do like Big Bang Theory. Funny show.</p>
<p>Thanks for your suggestion poetgrl! However I don’t think there is a family more antiquated than ours. We have nothing! No DVR, no netflix, no blueray, no nothing! When the neighborhood Blockbuster went out of business, we never missed it! We actually had a serious conversation once about streaming, but we got busy and haven’t talked about it since!</p>
<p>If The Good Wife airs at 8pm, then I can watch that first and then The Celebrity Apprentice at 9pm! Oh boy, I gues my Sun. eves are all set now! :D</p>

<p>Eventually I’ll get around to watching Breaking Bad (both of my teenagers watch it) and Burn Notice (LOVE Bruce Campbell)… before they’re canceled.</p>
<p>Since it’s tv by committee at my house I record and watch the stuff no one else will watch on the tv in the basement while I"m on the treadmill - those shows down there are smash, parenthood, desperate houswives and dwts - it’s enough to get me through 5 days a week now. I still have the parenthood season finale to watch which tells me I haven’t been going an honest 5 days a week.</p>
<p>The grownup show we love is Mad Men. I used to like Dexter, but it’s way too anxiety provoking - I haven’t watched since the John Lithgow season. </p>
<p>We also like How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory. </p>
<p>My daughter likes Glee and Grays Anatomy so I will watch that with her but probably wouldn’t watch Glee if it weren’t for her.</p>
<p>My family tends to watch documentaries more and godawful boring shows like How It’s Made (I say assembled) and anything about outer space.</p>

<p>eyemamom… have you heard about the new Cosmos, hosted by astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson? I just heard an interview on NPR yesterday about the updated series. Can’t wait!!</p>
<p>The only show both hubbie and I watch is Modern Family. We usually re-watch it a couple of times to catch the subtleties of the reactions of the other characters.</p>
<p>I also enjoy Fringe, Parks & Rec, Castle, Good Wife… all really good shows. There are a lot of shows still on that I lost interest in this year, but these keep me watching every week. I really don’t want to see Fringe go, but I’m resigned to it.</p>
<p>Hubbie watches just about anything on SyFy.</p>

<p>The shows I like have big break when they aren’t available- not like when the seasons ran from fall to spring. So I just watched the 22 episodes of Studio 60 on Amazon streaming. I also like Awake, 30 Rock, Doc martin,Bones & House.</p>

<p>Deb, I agree w/ your critique of Blue Bloods - Donnie Wahlberg makes the show! It is his character and the 2 women (his wife and his partner) I like. Im not that fond of Tom Selleck in the role as the PC. </p>
<p>I also watch White Collar, Harrys Law, Person of Interest, Selling New York, and Smash. The singing and dancing in Smash is first rate . the storyline, not so much.</p>
<p>I watched the first season of Fringe but somehow missed a few episodes of the 2nd season and just couldnt get back into the show.</p>
<p>I enjoy/enjoyed Law and Order, Law and Order Criminal Intent, and Law and Order LA. I watch Criminal Minds be it scares me how crazy-twisted the unsubs depicted on the show can be.</p>
<p>The show Dark Blue w/ Dylan McDermott produced by Jerry Bruckheimer was excellent but only lasted 2 seasons.</p>

<p>wow I didn’t realize this… Person of Interest has just about the same ratings as the Mentalist and better ratings than the first couple series of NCIS. I definitely watched a lot of the earlier episodes online, and you can watch tons of CBS shows online. Now I am worried and confused.</p>

<p>Deb, I am also frustrated to DVR the good wife and find out that I don’t have the episode because of golf, football, etc. Does your cable company carry on Demand Channels? I will watch the full episode on Prime time on demand (with out all of the commercials).</p>
