I know this is a bit too early, but I’m just on my way on finishing my first year of college. I am currently studying psychology (and would probably minor in international human rights or Japanese).

I have just read about the Gates Cambridge Scholarship–and it is indeed a far reach from where I am now. Having read the profiles of the current Gates scholars, I am overwhelmed! I know I have the ability to be just like them–but at this point in time, I am just overwhelmed and have no idea what it takes to be a Gates Cambridge Scholar.

What do you think is the best way I can maximize my undergraduate years and hopefully be able to apply to the scholarship in, say, six or seven years from now?
