Hmm… Need to check out the Kind bars and fruit chips…

Just about anytime my husband needs something, I buy it on amazon: toenail clippers, pens, ruler, flashlight, etc. If he puts it on the shopping list it takes more than a week to get it. This way he has it in a day or two.

I once bought a book for my niece on a Thursday at 4:30 p.m and she had it Friday when she got home from school. And I didn’t have to mail it to her.

We have subscriptions to Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and Campbell’s Split Pea and Ham Soup! We can’t get them anymore at our local grocery store. I also buy Kraft Spaghetti occasionally. I, too, am starting to shop Amazon much more frequently.

The last thing I bought that my husband laughed at were a 4 pack of scrub daddy sponges (couldn’t find them in my local supermarket) - I have bought tea, toothpaste (an uncommon brand), shampoo, conditioner, easy mac by the case (set to my daughter at school), microwave soup (same as easy mac), pens, filters for my heating system, water filters for my fridge, biscuits (which I can’t find in the supermarket that my husband loves), those micro fiber dusting clothes, headphones…
I have prime and refuse to ever pay shipping.

Kuerig K-cups (for DH’s office at work - he drinks only decaf, and Amazon has many decaf K-cups)

Cellphone chargers, Garmin case

Horse balls.

Great way to send college care packages.

I buy Ever Clean cat litter on Amazon Prime - the absolute best litter we’ve used. It’s cheaper on Amazon than at our local Petco.

Just yesterday my teammates and I had this conversation about the Amazon atavism that is still present since the days when Amazon was just a bookseller. If you open Gourmetmom’s link on an IPhone, it reads at the bottom, “New and used (17) from $13.60”.
No, they really do not sell used cat litter!

Yup, that cat litter is good. And having Amazon drop that box on my front porch beats the other option - lugging it from the store to the car under pouring rain.

I love shopping on Amazon, but beware - anything they get a good hold on could make that product disappear from regular retail shopping. A lot of retail shopping is a PITA but I miss having big, easy to find bookstores around. I don’t want clothing stores to disappear too! Amazon is pushing that right now.

Bezos wants us all to be able to order from Amazon and have the product arrive that day, or maybe even in a few hours, possibly delivered by a drone or some other robot. Sounds great unless that is your only option.

Agree with ordering stuff for the : detergent, shampoo, snacks, soda, etc. Especially stuff that would be heavy to carry or ship. Also order tons of stuff for the house, even when the price is a little bit more expensive than I can get in a B&M, the convenience is worth it.

I buy
printer ink cartridges
photo printer paper
laundry detergent
dishwasher detergent
textbooks

I watch for their lighting sales around the holidays

S1 and DIL do grocery shopping on Amazon – jerky, mac and cheese, dried fruit, detergent, etc. Their employer also has a grocery service and it gets dropped off at their door in a specific timeframe. In my next life, I am going to be a software engineer in CA…

I buy my deodorant there - couldn’t find my favorite locally any more and was thrilled to find it on Amazon. Also occasionally find some British food there - my latest find was a Yorkshire pudding mix I like (I fail at home made yorkshire pud).

May need to try that cat litter.

@Gourmetmom, so what is the benefit of Ever Clean cat litter over others? Also wondering how big that box is? Weeks supply or months?

I get rewards on one of my credit cards and I can use them for Amazon gift cards. I’ve gotten $50 worth so far.

I use them for snacks. I ordered a box of 6 chocolate peanut butter - sooo good! Also, 20 count bag of a variey of chips for like 6.50, Nature Valley bars, Welch’s 66 count fruit snacks and other little things. I love snacking, and being a student, it’s helpful having tons of snacks to take for a busy day. I also found it to be cheaper. I also have Amazon Prime and I love it.

@wasatchwriter - I have Indomie Instant Fried Noodles Spicy/Hot in my cart! I don’t know if I’d eat all 30 though but I’ve heard really great things.

Replacement water filters for the kitchen faucet, pet supplies.

@Harvestmoon1 - I like Ever Clean because there is zero odor…absolutely nothing, even with the unscented type. Nothing sticks to the sides, so cleaning daily only takes a minute. The 25 pound box lasts about three weeks, but because it’s so effective, I really don’t think it costs much more than grocery store litter.

I scoop daily and just replace the litter removed with a fresh scoop to keep the box a little less than half full. You never have to dump out the litter and start with fresh…hence the name, although I do empty and clean the entire box about once a year, even though it doesn’t really need it. My cat uses a Clever Cat box with a top, and I wash the top and wipe the sides weekly.
