If I did good this semester does this mean I’m in?
I am writing you today in regards to your fall 2018 application you have submitted to Illinois State University. The Admissions Committee has thoroughly reviewed your application materials. At this time, your file is being held for further review. We are requesting that you submit an official updated high school transcript showing your 7th semester grades as soon as they become available. Upon receipt of your grades your file will be reviewed for a final admission decision.
Not exactly in, but getting closer. After you submit your grades, they’ll look over your application and make their final decision. In other words, you’re still being considered.
First thing tomorrow morning, go to your high school’s counselling office and ask them to send an official transcript with your latest grades. Even if your school has an on line ordering system for getting transcripts sent, you’ll also want to go in person and tell them about the email so that they understand how important it is to get this information sent quickly.
It’s not a sure thing, but the earlier you get this information back to them, the better it will be.
