<p>Just wondering what kind of GPA and SAT to aim for being 1st gen (actually the first in my family to go to college at all), and being in state? It’s senior year so time to raise them. I get at least a little bit of slack right?</p>
<p>ummmm well how much do you need to raise them exactly? UVa isn’t all about numbers, so there’s no minimum SAT or GPA or anything. but then they also say that really good extra curricular things can’t make up for miserable grades. an upward trend is good and can make up for less-than-fabulous freshman year grades or whatever, but if you’re already a senior then…
But you didn’t say what your GPA is so if you’re talking about needing to raise it from a 3.5 or something you’re probably fine
