I’m currently a grade 9 student from Toronto and im going to be grade 10 very soon.
im wondering what grade is good for top collages in the USA, should I calculate my GPA?
Im in a public school in Toronto and the marking systemic is very strict, so it’s really hard to get 90s on all subjects.
If anyone is accepted, can you tell me your marks?

Be aware that for American schools, especially the top schools, admissions are holistic. You will need high grades, SAT/ACT scores, significant EC’s and recommendations. At the top 30 US schools, even with all that, admission is never a sure thing. Also, how do you and your parents plan of paying for a US school?

Well yes they do look at everything you do a good GPA is around a 3.8-4.0
Which means you will need lots of extra points that comes with AP classes.
So essentially to get that you need to get 95% and above in all your classes.

But seriously its like 50000+ a year to go to school in America even for us who are residents we need to pay 30000+ a year usually.

Thank you~

@shadelz Thank you but we only use percentage in Canada… and A is 80%or above, B is 70% or above, etc. I
Then how do I calculate my GPA?

You don’t. You report exactly what the school has listed on your transcript.
