It was a useful feature, allowing the correction of typos and clarifying without having to make a brand new post. Am I missing something? Why is it no longer possible to edit posts any more? Is this another “improvement?”. Can be please have the edit feature for 15 minutes after posting again? Thanks!
Whoops–I see that it allows editing for 15 minutes after starting a new thread but now when adding a post to an existing thread. Is there a reason for the difference?
Hmmm, I’ve only been able to do so when I created a new thread (this one specifically). I haven’t been able to edit other posts. Maybe it’s a function of Surface Pro3, which I am using tonight and not the website? Hard to know, as I am I not overly familiar with this new computer and keyboard and how it differs from my other electronic devices.
On my kindle fire it doesn’t show the edit button. I have to touch the screen over by the post number and a little cog shows up that I then touch to get the option to edit. (That’s on reply posts. If I have started a new thread the cog is in a different location)
Oh well, I guess I have to know that if I am using the SurfacePro 3, I better not expect to be able to make edits, except when I’m starting a new thread, because I don’t see the gear anywhere (which I see when I use any other device to make my post which shows me that I will be allowed to edit the post). Folks will just have to put up with my strange spellchecker/autocomplete that does some odd things to what I try to type.
