@HImom we do know what occurred, as it is on the video, assault and destruction of his property. She shouldve been charged.
@zobroward agreed, his restraint was amazing!

She still CAN be charged AND sued in a civil action as well. I hope she is. There still is time to bring criminal and civil charges. The guy is to be commended for his control.
partyof5 I have read further and she was handcuffed shortly after by the police (who she tried to go after too) but the driver worked out a “settlement” with her or her friends and she was let go because after the “settlement” the uber driver declined to press charges. she is a 4th year neurology resident. (I really hope this is a one off slip for her or she needs to be redirected to a new career and stay away from alcohol) I am tolerant and or forgiving of certain things but
this is a person who is all but done with a neuro residency and will be a neurologist very soon. right or wrong I hold doctors to a hire standard. (because I admire, appreciate and trust them)
Must have been one hell of a cash settlement in exchange for him not pressing charges. Really, what is wrong with people? A supposed professional making a total fool of herself and assaulting a random Uber driver? She needs to get it together.
She wasn’t even the one who called Uber, those were the people who started filming when she took the driver’s keys!
But what was all that paper that she flung out of the car? It was like the driver had his whole office in his car.
I dont get it, lord knows Ive been inebriated a time or two, but Ive never become violent or destructive.

"No charges have been filed, and there will be no further investigation by police, although Ramkissoon’s employer will dig deeper into the incident.
Jackson Health System said Ramkissoon has been placed on administrative leave, effective immediately, and has been removed from all clinical duties.
“Jackson has launched an internal investigation,” Jackson Health System spokeswoman Jennifer Piedra said in a statement. “The outcome of the investigation will determine if any disciplinary action will be taken, up to and including termination.”
Uber has suspended Ramkissoon’s account."
I don’t understand why her friends were unable to help her get herself together. I’m glad her employer is investigating and hope the medical board will too before deciding what happens next.
Depends on the underlying personality and/or psychological issues…including hidden ones of the individual concerned. The ones who tend to get violent or destructive likely have those tendencies as part of their personality traits and/or have some psychological issues which brings out the violent destructiveness when inhibitions are reduced.
When I’ve gotten buzzed, I tend to get quiet and extremely relaxed.
A reason why if I am at social events where I want to/am required to be active socially and/or to give speeches or sing on stage, I avoid drinking alcoholic beverages until I feel like I’ve fulfilled my goals/requirements in those areas. Also, alcohol doesn’t do much for most people’s speaking/singing voices…especially for longer than a few minutes.
Glad she has been removed from all “clinical duties.” She needs to check into a clinic herself. That was quite the rampage. The poor Uber guy was at a loss as to what to do with her. And I agree where was her friends/boyfriend? Was she out by herself?
The “friends” we’re videotaping the incident instead of doing what it took to get her away and calmed down.
It is scary to see people in drunken rages. I’m never comfortable around drunks, who by nature are unpredictable. I tend to get sleepy myself, but rarely have more than one small glass of wine, an then only on rare occasions.
If these folks are having this much trouble with alcohol at these young ages, it does NOT bode well for them.
I heard that the person videotaping her was the person who actually had called Uber. The ex-doctor just jumped in the car.
Yes, the woman being videotaped was clearly out of control and you can hear of camera comments to her to try to de-escalate, which she is obviously ignoring. Scary to see someone so out of control who normally is in a position of such responsibility.
Hopefully the ex-doctor does not sue the Uber driver for humiliating her and causing her emotional harm.
The video was filmed by the people who called for the Uber ride so at least she can’t sue the driver for filming her. They also published the video.
She should have to reimburse him for the damage and destruction she caused, at a minimum.
