What holiday gifts are you buying (or receiving)?

I am hoping it helps get my sister in law up before noon

Thanks for this tip - I ordered one for my daughter, who lost her driver’s license when the stick-on wallet thingy she was using fell off.

I just ordered from Oliviers & Co. the Sweet Trio plus Navettes Orange Blossom for brother and SIL who are hard to shop for. I used the HELLO15 discount code mentioned here on Nov. 9 and it worked, and they also had free Fed Ex shipping 3-7 days. Thanks again to this thread!!

My sister will have a houseful this holiday and I’m considering just ordering a food basket with lots of nibbles to be delivered. Thought of Harry & David. Do yall have any other favorite companies? I would like it to be a generous amount of food but don’t want to break the bank. Harry & David is appealing (ha) with the fruit because at least one gluten intolerant person will be there.

Not sure if you have to belong to Costco to purchase/send these but some nice ones here - I’d order from anywhere SOON!

I was going to say the same thing! Costco gift baskets for the win

No I don’t belong to Costco or Sam’s. Just want to order online. Definitely want to include some gluten free items like fruit or cheese, etc, but some cookies or crackers with gluten would be ok too since most people there won’t have a problem with it. So far Harry & David looks good but happy to check out some other no membership required suggestions.

I tried in a private browser but Costco defaulted to my membership.

I think there are certain items you don’t have to be a member to buy. It might be worth a look.

I thought their assortment of gift baskets were varied and good pricing.

I did a quick search and don’t know how accurate it is but saw some indication that you can order many things online at Costco.com but may have to pay an additional fee (like 5%). But didn’t see anything conclusive enough to recommend it!

Maybe share your price point. :moneybag:

Yes, a 10 week old female GSD. I’ll get to meet her at Christmas. The kids may be jealous of all the gifts she gets. LOL!

Sorry I assumed it was a guy! ‘Cause we had a male GSD. GSDs are the best! So smart. Congrats to her new family. Yes, Kong brand is great! Also, smaller sized soccer balls.

For the gift basket I am pretty open. $100 as a starting point is good but could go to maybe $150-200 or lower would be good too. I definitely want something nice. They are hosting the fiancé’s family in addition to their own. I don’t know how many people but let’s guess 10-12 people total? So I was just thinking a nice gift basket of food that could be nibbled on by anyone in the off meal times.

Something festive that looks premium like the gold foil wrapped pears from Harry & David. Nothing that needs cooking beyond boiling water for tea or coffee. Just something to help my sis host these folks.

we typically do Wolferman’s. They seem to have vegan and gluten free options, though I can’t vouch for them. But they are part of (partners with?) several companies. At the top of the Wolferman’s website I can also switch to Harry & David and Cheryl’s Cookies & Simply Chocolate & the Popcorn Factory among others… And actually the Wolferman’s box I ordered came in a Harry & David outer box.

I also got the Passport thing that gets me free shipping all of the time all year. I think it might have been free my first year. We tend to send a lot of these things to various people over the year, so it works for us. The shipping is $$$!

I think the Harry and David basket is a good choice. We just got a big basket from my dad today, in fact! His wife always forgets that we can’t have gluten, but there are usually a good number of things that we can have anyway. In today’s basket, we could have the truffles, the chocolate cherries, the mixed nuts, the two bags of moose munch, the pears, the salmon, the two different cheeses, and the sausage. There are about a dozen things that we can’t eat also. It is actually enough stuff that I can put it together into a different box and give it away, ha ha.

My father-in-law has sent us Wolferman’s stuff in the past, and the things that don’t have gluten, I thought were pretty bad. I would definitely go for Harry and David instead.

Thanks to both of you. I’ll check out the options. H&D was my first choice because I’ve ordered and received from them in the past but figured there were other options out there too.
