<p>The best way to get a feel for what it’s like being an IU student would be to visit campus on a Friday and Saturday. Friday you could get a feel for the academic side and Saturday you could see what the weekend social life is all about. Go to a football or basketball game, or check the IU calendar to find out when activities that interest you are occurring. Then, schedule your visit then. </p>
<p>Generally, you will find that most IU students, faculty and staff are friendly and very helpful.</p>

<p>True about the social part, but there’s a ** HUGE ** difference between a Thursday at IU and a Friday at IU.</p>
<p>^^^is that because a lot of kids don’t have class on Friday or because so many party a little too hard on Thursday night and can’t make it to class on Friday? Maybe a combination of the two? : )</p>
<p>^ Combination of both. Friday is a recovery day for a lot of people, but for the other half of people it’s the first day of the weekend. Friday nights, in my experience, and generally crazier than saturday nights.</p>
