It is pretty simple. On your first day of school, what is your favorite part? Is it seeing your friends, getting away from your parents, meeting new teachers or old ones, ect.?

I know this is summer, but put on your thinking caps and think back to the first day of school last year.

Oh, I don’t know. Then again I’m the type of person that loves Autum and back to school just because I love the smell of new paper and binders, of opening the new colored pencil package, although I hate colored pencils.

I just like the feeling of being disoriented…new wings of the school, new people, new teachers. I just like how it all feels new. Almost a fresh start.

I love going back and talking to my old teachers. I like the order; school gives me something to do. Otherwise, I’d be festering on the couch all day.

The best part about going back to school in general, not just the first day, is the new classes and teachers and seeing who all is in my classes and seeing some friends I didn’t see over the summer, etcetc :)

lol I’m excited about school starting too!

I love meeting next year’s teachers, getting syllabus and textbooks, etc. But every year, without fail, I start hating school from the second day on.

Shopping for school supplies…
its one really creepy thing that I love to do.
Everything is so clean and fresh.
Plus I wont be a freshman anymore.

The first day is always really exciting because you get to see all your friends and everyone’s together again. I remember the first day of school last year and as everyone started entering the class, the room just got louder and louder and it was just crazy.

Also, I love new school supplies.

I’m excited to start school just for that. Except I have a bunch of stuff due on the first day and homework will kill me the first week, so that kind of takes the excitement away. :P

Probably seeing my friends and how much people have changed over the course of the summer. For example, some get extreme makeovers and look amazing when before they were average at best, some gain weight, some lose weight, etc.

^That is the total opposite of how it is the first few weeks of school here. Like last year I had all three of my best friends in my homeroom, yet it was dead silent in there for at least 3 weeks. Of course we ended the school year with getting yelled at every day for being to loud. It’s so funny to me how awkward and weird it is, but since everyone’s adjusting to new teachers we don’t know our limit. Etc etc.

I just like the feeling that every move I make is going to shape my year. The winter just kind of settles into same-old, same-old, but in the first few weeks of school, everything’s up in the air: Who your friends will be, how well you’ll do in class, the expectations your Debate coach will set for you, etc. Everything is in my hands to mold the year I’ll have. (Hopefully, this one will be focused and socially novel–those are my goals!)

Getting that much closer to graduation!
Nah… I’m not looking forward to it really. I am anxious to see some friends I’ve rarely gotten to see. Plus, I love football so that is a plus…
It sucks though, I have almost all the same teachers. Only difference is I have a diff. Soc Studies teacher (Gov econ this year, US Hist. last)… Every thing else is exactly the same. So that’s not very exciting.
