What is the meximum number of AP Classes has any one taken?

I only took 3 AP tests (World History,Eng Lang, and MicroEcon this past week) None my freshman year, 1 my sophomore year, 1 my junior year, and 1 my senior year.

I agree with Collegebound41 it’s about the $.

Fortunately my mom suggested at the end of my Sophomore year, that I may want to take community college classes instead. It’s free to take the class at the community college (as a concurrent enrolled student) instead of pay $85 for the test, and the credit is on an official college transcript. I took two AP’s to qualify for the Academic Competitive Grant…the third I took to get additional credit through my community college transcript. I will attend UCLA in the fall with 53 college credits. I was admitted as a freshman, but will change to sophomore status once I start in Sept.

Frosh: none
Soph: 5
Junior(plan): 7
Senior(plan): 5

(HS only offers 10 non language AP’s)

One student in my class, I believe the #2 in our class, is taking 9 AP tests this year - BC calculus, Physics C mechanics, Physics C electromagnetism, Physics B, AB computer science, Spanish, English Literature, European History, and Macroeconomics. That puts his total at 17 since he already took American History, Chemistry, Biology, Microeconomics, English Language, World History, Environmental, and Statistics. That is just crazy!

my #1 took 18 total aps with 10 his senior year

taking 12 classes, 13 tests… (self studied stats)

Freshman - 0
Sophmore - 1 (AP Euro)
Junior - 3 (AP USH, AP Psych + AP Eng Lang)
Senior - 4 (AP Lit, AP Bio, AP Gov + AP Calc AB)

TOTAL: 8

Not a lot compared to the cough cough freaks on this site, but a lot in my school!

Freshman - 0
Sophomore - AP World History, AP Chemistry
Junior - AP U.S. History, AP English Language and Composition, AP Calculus AB, AP Physics B
Senior - AP Japanese Language and Culture, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Biology, AP Calculus BC

My school goes on a block schedule, and I can have up to 4 AP classes maximum per year. Last time people can have 5, but that was before the budget cut. Plus, my school is new and only offer the essential AP courses.
(Sophomore right now, Junior and Senior ap courses are my plans for the next two years)

lol my school literally forbids AP classes Freshman and Soph. years =[
We also only have 9 AP’s at our school, including Calc AB and BC, Computers A and AB
Plus gym is required, lunch is required (maximum of 6 AP’s), and you must take a few electives (1 art study, 1 art class, 1 business)

Fresh - 0
Soph - 0
Junior - 4
Senior - 6 + 4 self study

14 overall

I would’ve loved to take psych, env. sci., macro (aka the joke APs), and WHAP and others my Fresh/Soph year, but I’m not allowed :(

Freshman -1,AP Computer Science AB
Sophomore -1 AP WH
Junior -5 AP USH ,AP Chemistry, AP Psychology ,AP Statistics, AP CalcAB (self study)
Senior -5AP Govt & Econ, AP Biology , AP French ,AP English Literature and Composition ,AP Calc AB(But will study for BC),

Freshman - 0
Sophomore - 0
Junior - 2 (AP Lang, AP Euro)
Senior (next year) - 5 (AP Lit, AP Calc BC, AP Bio, AP German, AP Psych)

7 in total. I fail. My school doesn’t have any APs available for freshmen, and they just recently added a couple for sophomores… so really the only thing I could have done differently was take Bio this year. Too late now. I never actually knew you could self-study APs until I started reading CC, haha.

I live in Utah so high school starts at sophomore year.

I took 11 :D

Freshman: 1
Sophomore: 1
Junior: 5
Senior: 4-6 (depends what they decide to offer next year)

Total: 11-13 (depending what they offer)

Freshman and sophomore years students are only allowed to take one exam. Junior year you can take any AP exam that you’ve met the prerequisites for that they offer. They offer about 12-14 AP classes each year (Music Theory and Art History are the only two that I will NOT take if my school offers them next year).

Only 6, but I’m taking every one I can at my school aside from languages because AP Italian is gone for next year. I’m the third graduating class at my school, so there aren’t many AP’s offered as of yet.

In our school, our fees are subsidized, thus we only pay 5$ :)

took 7, could have taken around 12 if I self-studied Psychology, Stats, Bio, Euro, and AP spanish but Self-studying was never heard of in my school. Until i found CC :)

Depending on whether I want to take language AP exams or not, either 12 or 15.
There ARE kids who have over 20 exams though… look up the AP State Scholars from competitive states such as California, New York, New Jersey, or Massachusetts.

I’m going to take 8-10 by the time I graduate, most smart kids take 3/4, taking over 5 is pretty unheard of at my school.

Freshman-2: AP Comp Sci A & APUSH
Soph-3: AP Lang, AP Euro, AP Bio
Junior-5: AP Lit, AP Gov, AP Spanish, AP chem, AP Physics
Senior-1: AP Calc BC.

Plus DE all subjects but math at the local college :D

Freshmen: 0
Sophomore: 1
Junior: 8
Senior: 3-6

Plus 4 HL IB exams and 2 SL IB exams.

I’ll have taken 10 by the time I graduate.

Sophomore year: 1 (World History)
Junior year: 5 (Spanish Language, Bio, Stats, English Language, US History)
Senior year: 4 predicted (Spanish Literature, Physics B, English Literature, US Gov)

11 total for my whole high school career
