I was very amazed to find out that multiple people at my school have already taken 10 or so AP tests by the start of senior year (and done very well on everyone of them). Personally, I would be happy if I got (which I did not) 8 4s or 5s for National Ap Scholar. Has anyone else heard of even more AP test?

My brother will have taken Music Theory, Calc AB or BC, Bio, USH, English Lang, Chem, Phys B, one of the Computer Sciences, and Micro by his senior year (he’s a rising junior). He may take World History.

I told him he’s an idiot. He won’t have taken English Lang (a senior class no longer offered at our school–juniors take American Lit, then you take English 12 or AP Lit), is taking Comp Sci right now, didn’t take WH AP (not offered), and is self studying phys and micro. The only test he will get a 4 or 5 in is music theory (self studied) and maybe APUSH.

a kid in our school district took 19 APs before his senior year…self studied 12 of those and got 12 5’s 2 4’s and 2 3’s and 2 1’s…

he took 6 IB courses this year to take his senior year easily

I’m a rising senior and I’ve taken 13, 4 of which were self-studied, and 5’d all of them.

^holyy cow, how did u manage that??

;) Nice I only took one, APUSH! w00t! I got a 3 lol… so this past year I filled my senior plate with 5 of them and Adv Comp…

I just read through two to three prep books per test cover to cover. Except for US History and Calc. Those I just showed up.

Bump 10char

Wow, I’m a rising senior and I’ve taken 9 (5’d all of them), but this thread makes that look weak.

Sophmore: I took classes and exams for Calc BC and Chem
Junior: Taking classes and exams for Physics B, Bio, Eng Lang, APUSH; Self studying both Physics C’s, APEuro, AP World, AP Human Geo
Senior: Taking classes and exams for AP French, Eng Lit, Stats, APES, Macro; Self-Studying AP US Gov’t(and taking US Gov’t Honors), AP Comp Gov’t, Micro, Psych
20 total

Is that enough for the California State Scholarship? I know christiansoldier got it with 20 tests. Has the California one ever been more than 20 tests?

Also, does anyone know the greatest number of ap tests anyone has taken?

I’ll have taken 16 (or 17, if I want a study hall) AP tests before senior year

^
How does wanting a study hall give you an extra test?

I am planning to have 9 or 10:

10th Grade- APWH, APHG and APES (APHG and APES are self study)
11th Grade- Stats, English language, APUSH, Euro in class and Psych and Macro self study (maybe Micro too)

It all depends if I want a study hall…I should have phrased that better. But I’ll definnitely have 16 tests and if don’t want a study hall, 17. I’m leaning towards study hall though…

How many tests did you take in 9th and 10th grade?

7 before Junior year:

10th
APUSH-5
APES-5
APHG-5

11th
AP Calc AB- hopefully 5
AP Physics C Mechanics~4/5
AP Chemistry~3/4
AP Psychology- probably 5

9th grade: APUSH (5), Comp Sci A (5)
10th grade: I’m taking bio, chem, english lang, euro, psych and environmental science

My senior schedule:
AP Bio
AP Lit
AP Stats
AP Psych
AP Art History
Latin I/II
AP Gov

Exams I will take this year: Bio, Lit, Stats, Psych, Art History, Gov, Comparative Gov, Physics C Mechanics, Physics C Electro/Mag, and Calc BC

(I am taking Multivariable Calc and Physics C outside of school)
So, I have 10 AP Exams in one year, an experience that shall put my skills to the test and push my endurance to a new level. My question is, what is the most AP Exams anyone has heard of being taken in ONE year?

According to a document from collegeboard, someone took 14 tests in one year.
