I’ve been thinking about this for a while, so I figured I’d ask. I had fun writing it, don’t get me wrong, but how is my “To tweet or not to tweet” essay helping judge my application? Is it just to get a sense of the creativity of the student? Writing style? Or what?

All of the essays are meant to help better form an image of the student. What we submit is just words and they need to be reflective enough for the admissions directors to understand whether or not the student would fit in at the school. That prompt is vague enough that I’m sure the directors are also interested in how you interpret it in your answer. Of course, this is just my opinion! I doubt there is any definitive answer since everyone is going to answer differently.
