What is the way to make good ECs as an International?

Hello, I’m south korean, so I don’t get used to on US college admission process.
My country’s admission process has been changed to American style, but some portion of process is still determined by one standardized test per year. Many usual korean high schooler, including me, tend to focus boosting their GPA and that test score and don’t get involved in many activities.

As I know, one of significant factor on US college admission is EC. I’ve seen many people who are admitted at prestigious school have one common thing that they have stellar EC. How could they find and involve so many good ECs? Also, I’ve been checking RoundPier. Is there any another way to involve good EC?

ECs are generally things that high school students get involved in – like clubs in the HS and activities in the community. You are an adult who has served in the military and you have attended a semester of college in your country which would make you a transfer student.

You have many many posts asking about how to cure different problems in your application. It is highly unlikely that they can all be remedied (“mediocre GPA”, “mediocre English ability”, no ECs, no teacher recommendations, no standardized tests, needing a tremendous amount of financial aid, being a transfer student). The competition for spots in US colleges from your country is intense. It is not enough to have the dream to attend school in the US, you must have tremendous academic credentials as well.

Once again, I recommend that you look into finishing your education in South Korea.
