What is your "adult beverage" of choice during quarantine?

I just made myself a skinny Margarita and I’m settling in to catch up on several threads that have amassed A LOT of posts today on CC.

I saw a few posters describing their virtual happy hours and it made me wonder what people are drinking during these crazy times.

I can tell you that White Claw seltzer will probably win the award for greatest sales growth during the Covid-19 crisis.

Rombauer Zin. In small therapeutically effective amounts. Reminds me I need to order another box.

Usually a Russian River Valley Chardonnay but my H has been making some amazing Margaritas ; )

Mikes Harder Lemonade

White claw black cherry for the WW friendly points. When I throw caution to the wind it is Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc.

If I weren’t trying to lose weight and was capable of real exercise I would have a Lamplighter Rabbit Rabbit.

Wine, Working our way thru the wine fridge., but just a few nights a week. I wish Son1 were here. He is quite the bartender and we would be drinking gin cocktails.

Generally Pinot Grigio or Rose wine. Tonight it was a Washington State red. Warmer days maybe a beer.

Prosecco
Bloody Mary

Once it get warm enough it’ll be homemade sangria.

None of those give me a headache (most wines do.)

I also like to have a shot of Limoncello on occasion after dinner.

My kid is the fancy drink maker in the family but he won’t be coming home to visit for a long while.

Wine. The last time my husband was at the UPS they asked his name and the response was, “Wine?” We aren’t actually drinking that much more, but we are definitely buying more! A lot of pinot noir and cabernet franc, and some Finger Lake rosé that this time last year we were tasting in person.

Skinny Margaritas are so clean and refreshing.

2 oz Tequila (I prefer reposado to blanco or añejo)

1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

3/4 oz agave nectar

Shake, pour and sip…

Nothing wrong with 8% lemonade when you’re stuck at home!

Ohhhhh.@emilybee
Good call. I love Prosecco and have a terrific sangria recipe. Weight watchers really needs to allocate some more alcohol points! Lol!

In our house we break the week up with Wine Wednesday. I’ll usually mix a drink or two on Friday nights, then my wife and I share a bottle of white wine on Saturday nights. Other than that I’m a water and milk guy the rest of the week.

As @gkunion knows I own a very small botanical vodka brand. Over the past few years, to post cocktails on our social media, I’ve amassed quite a few odds and ends, and I am “using them up” – drinking the Lillet, the vermouth etc. I will say, I’m doing the same thing with my pantry – trying to use up all the one-off ingredients I’ve accumulated over the years.

@cinnamon1212 Exactly! I’ve amassed so many bottles of Tequila over the last few years from suppliers that I’ve decided to deplete my inventory to make room for other things.

One night awake we drink margaritas from our neighborhood Mexican joint. We’ve had 2 weeks where they could sell us them mixed and 2 where they sold the mix and we had to add our booze.

My happy hour drink of choice is a tasty craft beer. Mostly IPAs-- the hoppier and higher ABV the better

Truly/White Claws for me…An IPA or zin for H

Well for those of us who like gin cocktails, the tonic shelves in the grocery store have been depleted. Might it be because the scientific illiterate see the word quinine on the label?

@jmnva06
Where do you live? The best part of moving to the Boston area for me has been the amazing local craft beers. I too love a hoppy double IPA. Sadly, I know way too many good ones to recommend. Lol!

Wine some nights. Tonight, a Dark and Stormy - rum, Maine ginger beer, and lime. ? Husband made drinks for all five of us.
