what is your favorite cocktail?

For those of you who like margaritas, I challenge you to try this recipe and tell me if you’ve ever had a better one:

Combine on part fresh lime juice, one part agave syrup, and two parts tequila. Serve over ice. Salted rim is optional.

After you try this I’m sure you’ll never want one made with margarita mix or any other ridiculous sweetener again.

Pernod and water in the summer. The rest of the time, wine or beer.

Absolut Citron (or any lemon-flavored vodka) and tonic with extra lemon…Very refreshing this time of year.

I don’t drink any more but sometimes on Fridays I long for a dry martini rocks with 2 olives.

Sazerac. I like the bit of licorice flavor.

A sombrero or a mudslide.

Absolutely!!!

Ingredients:
1 (750 ml) bottle rose wine (Roh-zay, not sure how to do an accent mark)
3/4 cup vodka
1/2 cup peach nectar
6 tablespoons thawed frozen lemonade concentrate
2 tablespoons sugar
1 pound ripe peaches, peeled and sliced. (ok real talk. I used frozen the 2nd time I made this & no one noticed. I’ve used frozen ever since!! LOL)
6 oz fresh raspberries (or 1 cup frozen, again no one noticed!)
2 cups cold club soda

The recipe says if you get peach flavored vodka, you don’t need nectar.

Instructions:
Mix together- wine, vodka, nectar, lemonade, and sugar into a large pitcher.
Stir until sugar dissolves.
Stir in berries and peaches.
Cover and chill 8 hours.
Just before serving, add 2 cups cold club soda.

My new summer fav is Deep Eddy’s Grapefruit vodka with pink grapefruit Perrier.

Grand Marnier on the rocks.

Greyhound if they have fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Margaritas as I like the contrast of sweet, sour and salt. I had a blood orange margarita last night that was delicious. I went through a Mojito phase a few years back. I also like to try cocktails that have ginger in them.
A good friend also makes a good summer cocktail of vanilla flavored rum with orange juice. Tastes a bit like a 50-50 bar.
I also like wine and hard cider and hard kombucha. I am realizing that for someone who isn’t a big drinker I like a lot of drinks!

I love a good mojito in the warm weather!

I’m getting thirsty.

Ketel One Botanicals cucumber and mint vodka with tonic. Perfect for summer.

Pisco Sours for me also. We just returned from a trip to the gulf coast and I took the ingredients and made them 2 nights. Besides the fabulous taste, for some reason I never get a hangover or headache with Pisco. Love gin and tonics also.

A sea breeze or cosmo made with Deep Eddy’s grapefruit vodka is pretty good. Margarita with Williams Sonoma mix is also good, but I’ve been leaning towards trying the purest route such as @sherpa suggests.
I like lots of fruity girl drinks, but mostly stick to the above when not drinking wine.
I also like Pinot Gris/PinotGrigio/Sav Blanc wines.
I’ve never met a red wine or beer that I liked.

OK, folks: recommend some fruity, not-too-strong girlie drinks. And don’t just say the name, but what’s in it, too please!

Midori sour.

@katliamom, a sea breeze is cranberry, grapefruit and vodka. Bay breeze is cranberry, orange and vodka.
Pina Colada is rum, coconut milk and pineapple. Daiquiri is rum and daiquiri mix. Margarita is tequila, lime juice, and agave, or tequila with margarita mix.

@katliamom

I like some of the Truly Spiked & Sparkling flavors — can or bottle.

Not a cocktail, but a growing segment of the market, along with hard lemonades & hard ciders.

Mostly a wine drinker, but I do like Hendricks gin.
Left bank: 1.5 ounces gin,.5 ounce St. Germain (elderflower liqueur), 2 ounces dry white wine. Shake with ice, strain into martini glass.
