What? Nobody watches Homeland?

Yes, Mandy Patinkin. I thought I was a Clare Danes fan. Not so much.

Not sure why there is so much Dana hate.

If it wasn’t for her Brody would have killed a lot of people including some important government officials.

Then he wouldn’t have been able to fall in love with Carrie and had a baby together and become a character that for some strange reason people seem to like.

I had to look up Mandy Patkinkin because I had never heard the name. I didn’t realize Saul was actually an actor. I thought he was real. I guess that shows how good of an actor Mandy is.

Oh razor, surely you’ve seen the Princess Bride? And Inigo Montoya?

If not, go watch it right now!

I loved him in Chicago Hope.

Of course, he also does this - very well.

Anyone remember him in Yentl opposite Barbra Streisand ?

He first came to my attention with his “impromptu” performances on Letterman in the '80s: <a href=“Mandy Patinkin Rockabye your baby - YouTube”>Mandy Patinkin Rockabye your baby - YouTube;

He’s best known to many of us as a Broadway singer: he was Che in Evita and Seurat in *Sunday in the Park with George/i, among many others.

Yes, I think of him first and foremost as a Broadway star. He made the crossover astonishingly well. I’m not a fan of television crime shows but if I had to watch one, it would probably be Criminal Minds because of him.

Yentl - ughhh - I blocked that one out.

I thought perhaps they rigged the execution, in order to give credibility to the guy they had planted in the leadership. The baby makes it complicated, but I did have the impression Carrie is just biding her time.

My kids got me into Homeland this fall. I know I will need to catch up on prior seasons, however, I feel the past 2 episodes have “jumped the shark”.

Does anyone agree?

Oh oh. I have only seen the first 3 episodes this year. I haven’t seen the last 2. Nj2011mom, you aren’t leaving a good impression about the show. :)

I thought Brody was the most interesting character so…well I do like Mandy…

I have not been able to bring myself to watch the new season with Brody gone. Am waiting to hear lots of people say it’s great before I give it a go.

You are already too deep into the program to drop it now.
Plenty of cringing, me yelling at the screen, looking at scenes through my fingers and it is only 5 episodes in…
Ugh, Carrie.

Was enjoying this season until the cringe worthy last two episodes. Anyone see Joyce Wadler’s hilarious column (spoiler alert!) in the NY Times about her BFF, Carrie Matthison? <a href=“Carrie Mathison of ‘Homeland’, My Former BFF - The New York Times”>The New York Times - Breaking News, US News, World News and Videos;

2 minutes of WHHAAATTT face until it came crashing down.

Snookered, but worth it to this viewer.

One thing about Homeland, it never panders to the viewer’s desire for Carrie to soften up and be a nice girl.

I was so shocked by Brody’s presence because they were so adamant that he was off the show… yes, he still technically is, and it was just a cameo appearance, but they made such a big deal by saying he was done. I was very confused!

Baby daddy hallucination was part of her adverse reaction to the drug switcheroo.

Did they switch a drug, or did they just place a placebo powder in the capsules? I kept thinking if they just used a placebo powder, then no one would be able to determine why she’s acting as she is, if they eventually hospitalized her and did a drug screen. A drug screen would not show anything in her system so they would chalk it up to a major bipolar episode. If they substituted another drug in the capsule and she took it, when she got to a hospital, they’d drug test her and find the drug - then she’d know someone was after her.

If she’s bipolar and her mood stabilizer was suddenly taken away, it could explain the hallucinations, etc.
