At my school, AP physics is not offered and the honors physics teacher is not happy until the class average is a 55 on the tests…anybody else have horror stories?

I’ve heard that some IBs can be pretty brutal.

Before the teachers retired, our enriched science classes were a nightmare! One of the teachers played poker on his computer instead of teaching, the other droned on usually going off on random tangents, and the last would basically stop teaching halfway through the class and just tell the students stories about his life.

Yeah…our science department was pretty bad
It’s really hard to go into AP classes when the enr. classes didn’t prepare you for them at all.

At my school, English 3 Honors with two out of the three teachers who taught it.

Lol, I don’t have any experience with these “non AP class” things… Wut?

Lolozlozlzoll

English. All of my other classes are APs and homework for that class takes up by far the most time. It’s like they want to torture us. And we don’t even have AP English…

US History. My teacher is soooooo immature. The only thing she does is giving out pointless worksheets and stupid slideshows (and she doesn’t even remember which chapters they are from!).

Last year, Honors Physics swallowed. me. whole.
This year, AP Physics is actually not that much work. Same teacher. o.O The tests are twice as brutal, though.

english. so much useless crap that we had to do.

Latin 3 and 4.

honors english…harder than my APs

“Last year, Honors Physics swallowed. me. whole.

This. Except my regular physics class wasn’t so bad. But in AP Physics, I have the same teacher and we just hang out a lot. Tests are ridiculous though…

Pre-Calculus Honors. We go pretty quickly, and the teacher is bad at explaining concepts.
Well, that and Photography, where we also go quickly and the teacher is also bad at explaining concepts.

Differential Equations, hands down.

i’ve found that most non-AP classes are more work… mostly busy work though

absolutely no work for non-aps. i mean maybe the occasional 15 minutes of studying the night before.

I don’t have anything worthy of mention now, but I hear that next semester’s Senior Synthesis class is a ***** – the goal of the class is to write a 50 page essay or random ****, but, and this is the kicker, the essay is only worth a third of our grade! The rest of the class? Studying and being tested on Catholicism. :|

precalculus is pretty boring.

English II H. Four teachers with four deadly reputations.

for some reason my ap classes give less work than normal or honors ones. but it’s a lot of independent studying and kick@ss tests. the class that mostly wastes my time is honors pre-calc
