Its how you wear it which makes all the difference.

I guess… although I can’t really see how you can screw up wearing a suit :|

^^ I LOL’ed :)

“although I can’t really see how you can screw up wearing a suit”

An expensive suit can look a lot worse than a cheap suit if the expensive suit is ill-fitting. As a somewhat lanky guy, I look much better in a cheap, slim/European cut suit than an expensive normal cut suit.

what about stuff like louis vuitton, armani, etc.

I’d just wear a sweater, cardigan, or a nice dress shirt and slacks to work. I hate wearing suits. I don’t plan to work in an ultra-businessy office anyway.

True, I’d take a cheap but well-tailored, slim-fitting suit any day over an expensive one with baggy billowing pants and a smock for a jacket. Most dudes, unfortunately, don’t know how to wear a suit.

Fortunately GQ has been beating that drum for like a decade. They usually have “best-suits-under-$500” guides that are really helpful for guys looking for awesome reasonably priced suits. Another thing most guys don’t know how to do is go to a tailor and get a suit slimmed down. It makes all the difference.

yeah, i’d like to learn how to tailor my own clothes. I’m very particular about how my dress shirts, even t-shirts fit. It’s tough when I’m average height but more built than most. I always end up needing to buy larges but then the stomach is too baggy and too long.

Well the only real suit I’ve ever bought I had measured up by a tailor at Men’s Wearhouse… so I guess I’m on the right track.

wait wait wait let me get this straight…you guys wear clothes?

why yes of course, we wouldn’t be able to go to class without them.

Tailored suits are the way to go( I have an Armani gray one).

If the shoulders don’t fit right the whole thing’s ruined.

Hm… I always assumed people had them tailored. It doesn’t cost much if anything.

Cost much for moneybags or the average joe?

Mine cost 350 to get one made. You can buy them in stores for a wide range of prices but you will probably have to get it tailored anyways which sometimes may cost more than the suit depending how much they need to fix.

I honestly don’t remember how much my suit cost, but considering how it’s pretty high quality and will likely last me a while, it’s a good purchase.

You don’t HAVE to buy a suit made of the hair of a freshly-killed baby sheep. Most people can’t really tell the difference between a cheaper suit and one made with the finest fabrics. What matters is the fit.

That’s not true. Stop lying to these people.

^ Haha, yea the fit is what matters the most.

What about button downs? There’s so many types like oxford, cotton, silk, spread, and point.
