What person (good or bad) had the most impact on the 20th century?

Who had the most impact?

Hitler…

A three-way tie: Mohandas Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Adolf Hitler.

i was going to say Albert Einstein as well…
but come to think of it, i’d say Hitler had a greater impact to a bigger number of ppl, almost to everyone, even the general population… what Einstein did will only matter to the scientific community, as least for a while…

Albert Einstein (TIME’s Person of the Century)
Adolf Hitler
Gandhi
Mao Zedong
V.I. Lenin

journogirl05: Although it’s commonly mispelled, Gandhi’s name is not spelled “Ghandi.”

Grins sheepishly and wipes egg off face.

journogirl05: I didn’t mean to criticize you in any way. I just wanted to point it out for future reference. :)

I’d probably say Hitler… not Albert Einstein, though. He definitely did not have as much of an impact (IMO).

Can I be cheeky and say “the common man”? The everyday/faceless person who spans the continents, who pays the taxes and keeps the country’s public services running, who buys the latest Gillette shaver or Chanel perfume, who reads about MJ’s latest law suit and ultimately progresses, albeit quietly and unnoticeably, into the 21st century?

For me its between Albert Einstein, Karl Marx, Adolf Hitler, Michael Jackson, Martin Luther King Jr., and Mohandas Gandhi

Michael Jackson? How has he affected the 20th century at all?!

well, maybe this person is really into music.

jblackboy05: Technically, Karl Marx would be out of the running, since he passed away in the early 1880s.

Claridge, Marx although he died, he is important because it was the political and economic systems that he advocated and developed that created the cold war, one of greatest influences on the world in the 20th century(c’mon Russian Rev, Mao, Vietnam War, Stalin, V.I Lenin, Cuban Missile Crisis, Fidel Castro, Korean, must I go on)

Michael Jackson, minus the scandal revolutionized music in a way very few have done before or after the man and yall know it.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen
Karl Marx
Hitler
Stalin
FDR
JFK

Philo T. Farnsworth

Kim Jung Il

Franklin Roosevelt
Barry Goldwater
Bill Gates
Martin Luther King

Number one is probably Bill Gates. The PC completely transformed human life on earth in the late 20th Centure

Barry Goldwater is number two. He is the father of Modern American Conservatism. If no Barry, than no Reagan, no Bush, no Clinton, no Bush. etc.

Kb,

Bill Gates is a piker compred to Philo T. Farnsworth!
