So, as we all know, the last short answer of the Northwestern app is to come up with a question that could possibly appear on the application in future years. I was just wondering then, what questions everyone came up with.

I realize that the deadline for regular admissions has not yet passed, but it would be really lame/stupid for a person to steal a possible question.

So here is my prompt (in condensed form):

If your life was a movie, who would be the director? What actors would play you, your family, and your friends? And, what would be some climactic moments?

Many times in our life, we experience a moment of recognitiona realization that something we believe in isnt necessarily true. Highlight a specific moment of recognition that you have had in your life. Explain how you have evolved afterwards. Remember to be specific.

does it? i thought it was sorta hard, but not to difficult. I admit, i have no idea who’d direct the story of my life. but the actress/plot line would be easy for me.

sorry, i thought it would be a chance for everyone to show their creative sides. but i can completely understand how someone could dread answering it.

I went through at least three questions before this one…

As the popular saying goes, you are what you eat. What memorable dish/favorite food/ice-cream flavor, whatever, would you have your new friends from college have to help them get to know you better?

Haha…
I chose the food one bc I know I wouldn’t mind answering that question… and I could definitely answer it in 50 words. Some of the questions were hard to answer with only 50 words… I needed at least 100!

In more eloquent language: “There is nothing like returning to a place unchanged only to find the ways in which you yourself have changed.” Explain a situation like this and how you reacted.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable… Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle. Discuss a personal sacrifice that you had to make for others which ultimately led to a successful and rewarding experience
