What should i do about my gf and me?

Well, me and my girlfriend want to stay togather. But we have a problem she wants to go to Baylor to get a medical degree and I want to go to OU to get a meteorlogy degree. What should I do? I am open to getting a medical degree also but I would rather do meteorlogy.

Don’t do something just to stay with your girlfriend, I mean what if you guys ended up breaking up? Do what makes YOU happy and what YOU want to do! In the long run, you’ll be much happier you did what you wanted to do! And with Skype or FaceTime you guys can always stay connected. Good luck!

Son, sit down and let me give you some advice. Go to OU. Then, come back to this thread in one year’s time. I can guarantee that you’ll laugh at yourself for ever wanting to follow this girl (who, by this point, will most likely no longer be a part of your life) to college.

Well it depends if you want to make money or not. Doctor get paid and watching metorites probubly doesnt. Be a doctor and get rich then you can buy a house with a observeratory on the roof!

Do what you want to do (go to OU). If this girl’s the one, then being at different schools wont ruin your relationship (and you can skype and such). If, more likely, you two don’t stay together, then it would be silly to be at a school doing something you don’t want to do.

Percentage of high school sweethearts that end up married to each other: 2.
Percentage of people who are glad they graduated from the college of their choice: 99.

Thanks alot for your time and anwsers they helped!!!

Meteorologists[/url”>http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos051.htm]Meteorologists don’t watch meteorites.

I agree with everyone else - go where you want, do what you love, if it’s meant to be you’ll stay together.

You don’t just settle for medical school. Medical school shouldn’t be something “you are open to doing.” You have to have a serious desire to get a medical degree. Pre-med and medical school are intense. If you decide to go medical school for some girl, you’ll absolutely regret it. If you decide to do anything for a girl and then something happens, you’ll regret it. Be smart.

The only advice that is for-sure the best advice for you in the entire world is for us to tell you what NOT to do… and that is, don’t follow this girl or make any decisions from here-on-out based on this girl and what she does.

Do what you want and stay in touch with the girl (not necessarily continuing to date.). If, in the future, you guys are in a position to live together/get married, and still have a desire to do so, then go for it!

Besides, if your relationship isn’t strong enough to handle the distance, it isn’t strong enough to last.

Do what my roommate and her boyfriend back home do: Skype (though please be courteous to your future roommate and use headphones. My roommate sometimes forgets to use headphones when she skypes with her boyfriend, and she’s really lucky I can tolerate that, because not a lot of people would) each other, call each other, text each other, etc. You two can still stay in touch. If the passion dies down after a while, oh well.

IMO it’s time to part ways with your girlfriend.
