What should I do to prepare for college?

Greetings everyone,

I am writing as a student currently in my sophomore year in an International Baccalaureate (IB) School based in Singapore. After having a mediocre start in my high school life, going where the wind blows me, I realised that I have been wasting my life on meaningless stints. I humbly seek advice from collegiates and professionals to enlighten me on a few questions I have currently.

1)Is halfway into my sophomore year too late to start working my way for a good college?

  1. What should I do to improve myself / showcase my abilities such that I can attract potential colleges?

  2. I am planning to take the SAT next year. What can I do to prepare for the SAT?

  3. How can I find my passion?

Rough Outline of My Student Profile:

  • Top 15% of my school cohort
  • Frequently participate in local MUNs
  • Winner of the ArtScience Prize in Singapore, which gave me the fortune of visiting Harvard to talk to professors.
  • Credentials from a few local science and math competitions

What I feel my qualities are:

Strong at Mathematics
Passionate about using my creativity to help others

  • For the ArtScience Prize in Singapore, my team had the opportunity of visiting Harvard and MIT to talk to professors about expanding our idea of bringing affordable and renewable light to less developed countries.

In summary, I feel like I am not making enough of an impact in my community, and I am unsure of what are my talents and passions/how I can use them to make an impact.
