What should I know before starting college as a Cybersecurity major?

I was given advice to learn certain things on my own, and wanted to see if anyone had advice on how to do this.

You might ask your program the question - the department chair, etc.

I did. They just gave me a website that is no longer available.

You likely are well prepared already for day one - you shouldn’t need any prep beyond.

Did you choose the local school or RHIT?

I ended up going with Anderson University, as they pretty much are paying me to go there. I am getting 60k a semester, where Rose-Hulman would have given me 25k annually.

$60K a semester? Huh? You mean $60K a year.

Anderson full price for tuition, room and board is $52,620.

I wish you luck and I think you should enjoy your last summer off.

I meant to write 30k a semester, 60k a year, I just combined them by accident.

Also, I will live at home, which lowers my cost to around $38,000. Without a meal plan, it goes down to $35,000. So with scholarships, I am able to pay for the other $5,000 myself.

So they are giving you $60K but you will pay $38K - so you are getting back $22K.

I’m confused - but you are going there, so enjoy your last summer and best of luck.
